The place is nice, quiet and has everything needed for a stay. With the short driving distance there are a lot of places to go: starting from sandy beach, puffin watching spot and finishing with museums and even distillery tours.
Hosts are very welcoming and go above and beyond for any of your needs.

Mintlaw is a nice village Aden Country Park a great facility (shame it's a bit shabby over winter and centre is closed) coast to North amazing cliffs and to east fabulous sand. Lighthouse museum. In Fraserburgh good.. This part of Scotland is a hidden gem.
Breakfast was excellent. It was a lovely quiet little village, with facilities nearby in Mintlaw. Loved that there was a little gate with access to Aden Country Park, so no need to drive around to the main entrance. Out dog was made very welcome at no extra cost and even got a free sausage for her breakfast.
Most definitely will check for availability when up in the area next time.
Excellent value for money.
Excellent in all respects
Links very well with cycle path on disused railway track from Mintlaw to Maud
Martin was very friendly and helpful
Gave us lift to excellent local pub for evening meal and we were able to walk back through Aden Country park
Stored our bikes indoors overnight
We were in a self catering lodge . Facilities very good although we ate in hotel. The food was a very high standard and we also enjoyed the outdoor space . It was ideal for visiting And day-trips to Coast . The place was quiet and slept well which is always a bonus.
Comfortable hotel well located to explore the area which we had not visited before. Fascinating history of the Pitfour Estate.
Staff friendly and helpful. Delicious food and all at an very good price. Would highly recommend.
We had a self catering lodge which was very comfortable and ate dinner twice in the hotel. The welcome package, staff and food were all excellent! We also enjoyed a variety of walks in the immediate area.
The best value hotel I've stayed at. The restaurant is a little on the expensive side, but well worth it, food was delicious. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Can't wait to stay here again.
The hosts couldn’t have done anything more for us the hotel is immaculate and the breakfast well presented and well cooked with local ingredients we felt the price was low for what you received
Breakfast was excellent, dinner very good too. All staff charming. Location was excellent too, hotel situated in lovely countryside. Room, which was a free upgrade, was lovely.
Lovely old hotel. Beautifully refurbished and lovingly cared for. The kindest staff ever! The grounds are beautiful and the lake full of swans behind the grounds was amazing.
