The room itself was spacious, and the bed was really comfortable. All the basics provided along with fresh milk for tea in the room as there was no fridge. The property accommodated gluten free food options too and staff were pleasant. Generally it was really clean. The bathroom could have done with a bit of attention re mould though.

We visited New Alresford as we were going on the Watercress Line for the Christmas Illuminations experience. The town itself is small but beautiful and we enjoyed a little stroll around despite the fact that Covid restrictions are in place.

New Alresford is a small town with walks to the river and a traditional steam railway. So near to winchester with a good bus service. Relaxing, individual shops and a great place to relax. There is a good choice of restaurants and pubs. I would consider staying in New Alresford again and using public transport to get to winchester.
Every single member of staff we had contact with were so helpful polite and cheery they made us feel comfortable and welcome, a special mention to Lino who was all the above.. The chef needs a mention too as the food was superb all freshly cooked and piping hot. The hotel was ideally situated with lovely local shops on the doorstep. The room was comfortable and clean with toiletries and tea/coffee making facilities.
The staff were incredibly friendly, polite and accommodating - a real credit to the hotel.
Food was fantastic, good range of draught beer and cider and a great range of wine.
Atmosphere was lovely. Could tell the hotel was frequented by locals which, in my opinion, is a sign of a great establishment.
We loved New Alresford location. Also apartment was amazing and really well equiped, and quiet, and literally a few metres away from the main street. Perfect location. Also the host went out of their way to help swap over the apartment key after we left the wrong key behind. Sorry :)
Room was a nice size for a two night stay with on suite having shower rather than bath. Breakfast was good but would have appreciated the availability of fresh fruit and yogurt as an option. Lunch was eaten in hotel on arrival which was nice .
We had the family room which was perfect for 2 friends staying. We had a delicious dinner on the first night and went out on the second. The Hotels location is fabulous, with a stunning local walk and close to Winchester
Breakfast was 10/10
The location of the hotel was excellent, right in the centre of the village. The room was clean and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant, which was lovely. The food was good and the staff, helpful and friendly.
A characterful hotel with wonderful staff keen to help in any way. Food in the restaurant was first class and very good value. Well placed for local touring. Excellent value and highly recommended.
