Staying here is like staying with family, but the kind of family that you're excited to see and reluctant to leave. The setting, the vibe, the everything was just perfect! I cannot recommend enough the need to stay here. And if you don't want to stay but are in the area you HAVE TO eat here! Victoria is an amazing chef and deserves more people to know how great she is!

Very clean, tidy and well thought out. Lots of small touches like plenty of mirrors, thick blankets, comfy beds, milk in the fridge, a good variety of tea bags, well stocked kitchen, and even a little Christmas tree... especially liked the walk in closet with a light
....we will be back...

A superb apartment with a fully equipped kitchen, cosy lounge, excellent shower and supremely comfortable bed. Situated in a pleasant area, close to most amenities with easy access to the surrounding beautiful wetland walks. Amazing hosts, thank you Delia and Malcolm for the welcome pack of essential food items, the kind offer of a lift to the bus/train station and the delicious freshly baked cake!

Wonderful welcome. A very old house located quite close to the A38, with internal updates in sympathy with the original character. Beautiful room - very comfortable bed. Julie was a great host - nothing too much trouble. Breakfast at a time to suit us and plentiful. Would definitely visit again and hopefully meet the dogs next time! Close enough to walk into the local village for a meal across the fields, but rural enough to give the dog some local exercise near the river.

Newton Abbot is a nice little town, with a decent array of shops. If you have little ones, you must go to iTown as it's a great place for toddlers and Primary School kids. The walk along the river and the Hackney Marshes are fantastic and the racecourse looks to be well maintained.

A lovely small town which is ideally located to explore both Dartmoor and the many attractions of South Devon. There are a good range of places to eat. For me, the highlight was the superb food and service at The Eastern Eye.

We didnt actually visit Newton Abbot itself, but the area is great for exploring Dartmoor, the East Devon coast and visiting Exeter. Wonderful food at The Cridford Inn in Trusham, Home Farm Cafe on the Parke Estate, The Ridge Cafe, Haldon Forest Park, The Cafe on The Green at Widecombe in the Moor and The Thatched Tavern at Maidencombe. All of these eateries can include great walks and are dog friendly.

Newton Abbott is a railway town, so a great place for getting to other places. It is worth exploring in it's own right, the bell tower and town museum are worth a visit. There are plentiful shops and cafes. Hackney Marshes, next to the racecourse are are pleasant walk.
It was a lovely location. Very quiet. Also it was a short drive to Newton Abbott where we drove to. But you could easily drive to the coast or to Exeter without too much hassle. It was just outside a nice village too where we could grab some dinner.
I loved the fire pits. The hut was very modern. The toilets and showers were great. Everything was very clean and in good working order. I liked the fact that we could turn up at any time without having to bother a receptionist etc.
How nice to unexpectedly find this hidden gem. A lovely pub with annex like rooms. The rooms were beautifully furnished and decorated. The bed was big and very comfy. Dinner and breakfast were of very high quality. The staff were very helpful and attentive. A lovely touch was that I was asked before going to the room if I wanted a small bottle of fresh milk. This beats the long life rubbish in most hotels when you crave a nice cup of tea. Overall a great stay!
This was a great location for exploring the south west. We arrived on the Sunday afternoon by car and did not use it again until we went home on Friday! The walk into Newton Abbot across Hackney Marsh nature reserve is very pleasant, and we visited key towns in the area by train, which are plentiful from Newton Abbot. Next time we come we'll leave the car at home!
We needed to stay new the centre of Newton Abbot as my husband was having eye surgery. The apartment was a 5 minute drive from the town so easy access to the clinic, supermarket etc. The apartment was spotlessly clean and really comfortable. Our host was amazing and really accommodating with some last minute changes we needed to make.
Great little hotel above a pub, conveniently located for us and dog friendly. We weren’t sure what to expect with a dog friendly accommodation, but the rooms were exceptionally clean, modern and large. We ate breakfast in the pub in each morning and the staff were wonderful.

The host jayne was lovely we had everything and more that we needed, it was very easy to find and central for everywhere around, there is a lovely pub called the sloop 6 minute walk away serving lovely food and the service was warm and friendly, what a lovely place to stay
Amazing hotel and pub, perfect for our 1 night stay on the way to a wedding. Food in the pub was amazing, aswell as breakfast the next day. Very comfortable rooms, and staff were very accommodating when asking for a slightly larger room for a baby cot.
The property is close to Newton Abbot and only a short drive away.
The surrounding area is very quiet and peaceful.
Eveeything you need is there so you don't have to worry about packing extras for your stay.
The hosts are welcoming and friendly.
Newton Abbot is a great place to stay if you want to go to the sea and to Dartmoor. And if you like to go to a pub :-)
The flat is spacious, colorful, has good beds and you can sit outside. We loved it.
Also, the owners are very kind!
Newton Abbot itself is not a tourist spot in itself and VERY hilly - what looks like a short walk as the crow flies on the map in a hill walking expedition. But it is well located for travellingfrom.
An ideal location to visit lots of tourist places.
Near to local super market and restaurant/ pub but in a quiet location.
The house was warm and cosy and had everything we needed.
the restaurant/pub was comfortable, clean and the staff Louise and Jack were lovely! friendly and welcoming. the room was well appointed, quiet and clean! Lovely linens/comfy bed!
Such a great stay. Helen was lovely, placewas so quiet and peaceful. Fresh bread, eggs, milk and juice all provided and lots of fire wood. Pub down the road is so nice
House has a spacious lounge area and bathrooms, underfloor heating is cosy once warmed up. Newton Abbot was pleasant, nice market town with nice pubs for drink / food
