A wonderful stay at the Ruthin Hotel! A highlight of our holiday in the UK. The staff were particularly helpful
And friendly. The grounds were
Wonderful and we enjoyed strolling around after dinner. The ruins of the castle forming part of the hotel were amazing the it was lovely to read about the castles 800 Year history on the walls leading to the dining room. A great hotel, worth the visit!

I have stayed here several times over the years.
It's a pleasant place to use as a base for mountain-biking at Llandegla Forest and in the nearby hills.

We were in room 105. The toilet was broken. The room that came out to 9:30 to try and fix it. Couldn’t fix it so we had no toilet all night. The windows rattled. You can get a magazine between the gap. The room was freezing cold we complained in the morning asked for a refund. I was told would they be in touch? That was a week ago? We still don’t have had our money back.

Lyon’s Resort we stayed in Communication before we arrived was none existent even though I contacted the property before hand.
There was no hairdryer even though they said there would be.
There were dead flies in all the light fittings and marks on the walls by the trouser press.
There were no coat hangers in the wardrobe.
There was no option of a cooked breakfast.
The place location was great for the beautiful walk we went on x

Ruthin was very quiet when we stayed Sunday and Monday night in October, just a couple of pubs. The Small Plates Tapas restaurant we planned to visit was closed both nights. The Castle and ruins are worth a walk around. Just a 10 min walk from the Castle Hotel. Nice gardens with live peacocks free to roam. Good for photographs. A market next to hotel i believe opens on a Saturday. Not much else for shoppers.

Ruthin has a lot of history and character.
Ruthin has a lot of history and character. It is well worth walking round the town and noting the architecture of buildings. Ruthin Castle brings it all together and was well situated to defend the town historically.
Very friendly staff and locals at the pub. The food was lovely, very reasonably priced and fast to arrive. We loved seeing Cyril the cat too! The room was beautifully decorated and clean, we felt very comfortable. Lots of treats in the fridge as well. The area was perfect for what we wanted and we would recommend staying here rather than in Ruthin itself.
The Feathers is right in the middle of the interesting historic, small town of Ruthin. Its a pub/hotel so i checked in the bar and was promptly shown up to my room which had shared use of a kitchen. The room and bathroom were spotless, warm furnished nicely. I made use of the bar downstairs which was very cheery and covid aware. Well done guys!
The Barn was set in the most idyllic location with stunning views all around. The hosts were very welcoming without being intrusive. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, spacious and modern, and really well equipped in the kitchen and lounge area. We will be back! :)
This sweet little cottage was perfect for my family of four adults. It had everything we needed , was super comfortable and clean and the Christmas decorations were a lovely personal touch. We enjoyed discovering the town of Ruthin.
Breakfast and location were good. Very good menu for the evening meal with plenty of choice. Also, location very good for accessing different locations in the area. Ample supply of coffee, milk, tea, etc. in the bedroom,
The property was very comfortable and well fitted out with lots of homely touches. It felt like a home rather than a rental. A good base for the area. The host made every effort to ensure we had everything we needed.
Great self contained apartment in a lovely setting with welcoming hosts. Nearby areas with plenty to do and supermarkets/restaurants etc to keep you stocked up. We hope to come back and stay again in the future!
I stayed in one of the larger rooms at the front of the hotel this time and it was really nice! The room is huge with a comfortable bed and a large bathroom. I always stay at this hotel when I am in the area.
Hotel was lovely but there were issues with booking.com as we booked the tower room for 2 nights for our wedding anniversary and when we arrived it had been allocated to someone else. Food was lovely.
Ruthin is a lovely small town surrounded by countryside. The hotel has nice grounds and on the edge of the town
The staff were very pleasant.
Very historic hotel.
Lovely place to stay. Great base for visiting Wales or if you just want a few days around Ruthin.
The accommodation is well equipped and very comfortable.
