The Hotel itself is absolutely set in in lovely grounds. The reception staff were lovely and welcoming, our first visit to this part of the world. We were booked in without any issues and given our room number and key. Would have preferred ground floor room but that is my fault, not theirs, as I should of requested one, due to heart problems with stairs.
The room was basic with everything you needed, NOW the beds, WOW they must be one of the nicest, comfortable beds we have ever slept on!!! I would never leave my bed if I had one of those at home. Amazing.
The bathroom maybe needs a little touching up with rust in bath etc but basic for what you need I wasn't spending my weekend in there so everything was fine.
Breakfast for the two days, We were shown to our table, sat and ordered,
Coffee first and my only thing was I would of liked a few coffees but didn't ask as no one else seemed to get another one either so do not know if you have to ask or if its extra charge.
Ordering breakfast quite straight forward requesting what you would like in your full English all presented well and cooked to perfection, no complaints from either my partner or I.
You could help yourself to cereal, yogurt etc and was a lot of choice for all.
I used the ladies in the eating area and they were immaculate, also the cleaning lady ( I think she wore hearing aids) well what a lovely friendly lady she was, she went out of her way to say good morning and always a smile on her face, made us feel so welcome.
Serving staff were all pleasant and welcoming too. Also the Chef thank you food was lovely.
One more mention is to the night porter on reception, we had left our room key at reception as not to lose it, and when coming back to collect he was lovely and very helpful indeed, so thank you.
The whole stay was very enjoyable and if we ever come to Middlesbrough again we would definitely stay here again.

Nice market town.
Nice market town. The staff at OYO Leven were unsure about parking regulations. The town does have free parking. Best to check with a local shop about parking. Some shops not open, some pubs not open. But can recommend the chapters deli for breakfast and courteous staff. The Green Man pub for a drink.

The village was ideal as a base for exploring the local area. I used a car for convenience but public transport is available to all the local areas. Car parking is free in the high street!
The walk along the river Leven is very pleasant and I enjoyed visiting the varied shops in the high street. I had a very enjoyable meal at the Leven hotel and a pub meal at The Mill both very good food reasonably priced.

Stokesley is a lovely village with a charming high street and very friendly locals. The takeaway options leave a lot to be desired with YThai and China Wok being the best options.
Unfortunately pubs werent open due to C19 however given the friendly locals would imagine a good atmosphere.

It isn't huge but we spent the morning pottering around poking into different shops. There was also a gallery on at the village hall which was good to look around. Don't go on Mondays though, because half the places are closed, but apprently there is a market on Fridays according to the parking signs, but we weren't there then.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant and bar had an excellent choice of food and drink and a great atmosphere. The en suite room was very good. The hotel has a pharmacy and a coop with a cash machine nearby. We were offered transport to the railway station or the nearest part of the Cleveland Way where we could continue the long distance walk.
The hotel room was big and spacious. We stayed here while doing the Cleveland way, there is a free pick up from clay bank to the hotel and they also drop you off back at the start of the trail. The staff were really lovely. We had to change the drop off time in the last minute and they were very happy to accommodate for that change too. Breakfast choices were great. We also had dinner there which was very tasty and big portion too. Enjoyed our stay here.
Cringle Cottage is a delightful property and centrally located within the Square in Stokesley. Perfect for us as opposite where we needed to be the following morning.
The apartment is equipped to a very high standard, with some provisions stocked for your arrival which was great.
The apartment was bright and modern and furnishings were of a high specification.
Great location, Becky and Martin who own the hotel were so friendly, welcoming and professional. Dom who worked his socks off was credit and a really nice lad. Room comfortable and big bathroom. Tried out the Indian restaurant in the hotel which was lovely. Lovely market town and close some other nice places.
The hotel is well prepared for walkers. They provide pick up and drop to Clay Bank Top although we did not use this. Salads were included in packed lunch possibilities which made a welcome change. We had a very friendly and helpful greeting at reception. The room was clean and comfortable.
The property is located in Stokesley centre, with nearby shops and restaurants. Room was comfortable, clean and well appointed and cannot fault the staff for being helpful and informative. Convenient 10 minute taxi ride from the moors if you're a walker!
Lovely house for the weekend - bigger than expected with two receptions and decent sized bedrooms. Really great location just of the high street of Stokesley which punches well above it's weight for cafes, pubs and restaurants. Easy drive to the hills.
We reaIly enjoyed our stay in the Old Post Office in Stokesley..the accommodation was great and it had all we needed as a base for the night on the way to our holiday in Scotland..I look forward to staying again in the future..
Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Great location to explore the beautiful area with all the facilities of the pretty market town of Stokesley on your doorstep.
