This is our second time visiting Kiani Beach and the first time with our young child. It did not disappoint. The facilities are great and looked after very well. The whole place is very clean. The restaurants offer good choices for all tastes. The staff look after you very well. The VIP upgrade is worth it if you plan on drinking cocktails (3 a day covers the cost) or using the spa or will be a heavy user of the Wi-Fi.

Wake up to coffee at a table on the lawn looking at the sea... Bbq stuff from the supermarket 2 minutes' walk from the place in the evening. Drive 5 m8nutes into Kalyves to walk around or go to a swimming beach. Lovely vacation spot.

The hotel was lovely with very good all inclusive. The TV dosen't show English channels except for BBC News. Right on the beach with the hotel providing free sun beds & unbrellas. The sea was very cold & the beach very course. Not much in the village. You will need a car to get around or a taxi.

The owner is a very lovely lady.
The owner is a very lovely lady. She even let me stay over the check out time on my last day, which was just perfect! It is by the seaside so the view is very pretty! Kalyves is a traditional Cretan seaside town, with so many good & well priced tavernas to choose from. Our favourites were Elena's and Mythos, both right by the sea. The beaches are lovely and clean and not too busy. Travelled early May and loved the very relaxed feel to the village. Lots of places to eat delicious Greek food all reasonably priced. Lots of shops and supermarkets. Nice sandy beach too. Drinks in the bars were very reasonable and there were bakeries which opened early morning so you can buy freshly made pastries for breakfast. Very friendly working village. Plenty to do and not far to travel to other areas. Easy access to the airport. Very reasonably priced resort. Great sandy beach. Elena restaurant was very good and the owner Adonis, his brother and staff were very friendly. O Mitsos do the best pita gyros. Apicorno is a lovely bar. Its difficult to judge as we were there in the off-season and most places were closed. The restaurants that were open were good and very reasonable. It was nice to walk around and there are a number of walking trails to ther villages - the one we used was a very nice experience.

The beach is very nice with free sunbeds and it is relatively quiet. We rented a car to explore the island and we enjoyed the free parking lot next to the hotel. Highly recommended to visit Rethymno, beaches in West Crete and of course the city of Chania which is really nearby. Everything was very clean, the beds were great. Next to the apatmant you can find a bus stop to Chania, but it goes only 4-5 times / day. So it is not like in other places, every 20-30 minutes. If you would like to visit Chania or Rethimno it is better to rent a car. There are a some great tavernas in the village. The beaches are belonging to bars, and the sunbeds and umbrellas are free.
