The Waterfront Hotel, hotel in Baltimore

Overlooking Baltimore Harbor with fantastic sea and island views, The Waterfront Hotel offers seafood, a bar with regular traditional music sessions, and free Wi-Fi in the public areas.

Great location, in the center of town...Baltimore is tiny so that wasn't hard to achieve. We were traveling off season so everything was quiet, I'm sure high season might be very different as far as noise level. The room was larger than most, I was traveling with a friend and for a small older hotel, we were both able to open our luggage at the same time, It's the little things in life while you're traveling. The staff was super nice and very accommodating. We had a beautiful view of the water. Breakfast was excellent, rooms clean and comfortable. Would stay again.

We loved the rustic elements, privacy and quiet! The bed was comfy. Our host Stephanie was friendly and offered a lot of good local information. The suite was clean. There was a kettle, 2 burner job, and an air fryer and toaster. We were able to prepare all we wanted. Definitely shop before arriving as it’s a bit out of the way. Absolutely gorgeous, met and exceeded my expectations. Easy to find just off the Wild Atlantic Way, Bebhinn & Brian gave excellent instructions and even had the bed made before I arrived. Got in fairly late in the afternoon so I didn't see Bebhinn & Brian then but managed to catch Bebhinn before I left in the morning.

Baltimore harbour was beautiful and wild during the storm when we arrived. The next day all was calm and sunny, so we enjoyed the village and it's very nice restaurants. The vegetarian pizza + fresh fish and chips in Jacobs was delicious. So was the burgers in the Algier Inn. There is even a 2 Michelin Star restaurant if you are foodie We hope to come back during the summer to go whale watching and explore Cape Clear.

We stayed one night basically to stay at a place away from a city and nearer the sea. Quaint town, but did not have time for excursions…ate dinner at a nice restaurant out of town a short way from Rathmore House recommended by the house owner, called An Siben.

Wonderful view of the bay and islands. Boat trip to Sherkin Is. and Cape Clear highly recommended. Please pick up rubbish and loose string as it can damage seagulls. It is easy to get around except when the town is full!

Baltimore was lovely, it was very clean and the people we encountered in the bar and shops were really friendly. It is really close to Skibbereen which has more in the way of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Casey’s in Baltimore was lovely for a read session and outdoor seating area to take in the views.

The harbour area was lovely above the harbour was hotels & bars where you could sit & enjoy all the comings & goings. Lively night life. great walks around the area. The Beacon is a must to walk too. We went on the Fastnet tour from the harbour a definite recommend. We ate at the Algiers Inn Gastropub a definite treat, great food & great staff, you cannot book a table only down side but worth the wait. It is a hilly area just to be aware.

A very pleasant two night stay in this family run hotel. The accommodation is spread out and some is modern with more old fashioned. The managers are a mother and son; they are vigilant and organized. The staff, a mix of locals and French are outstanding. The attention to detail throughout the hotel is remarkable. The standard and presentation of food at breakfast and dinner is very high. Evening menu is top class. Highly recommend for relaxation.

The Stone House is in a great location just on the way into Baltimore. The room was comfortable and had a balcony overlooking the garden. Rianne was really friendly and gave us lots of tips for walking, swimming and eating out. The breakfast was fantastic with great choices and there was tea/coffee available all day with homemade treats. I'd highly recommend a stay here.

Rianne was the best hostess. She had wonderful recommendations for dinner. Made brownies as a welcome treat. Her breakfast was incredible and she was generous with her time in talking about attractions and the town of Baltimore. Additionally, she was warm and welcoming with a wonderful passion for her quaint town. How great that this B&B is an eco-conscious house. WOW!

We stayed for one night in the cosy B&B. The next morning we were served a hearty Irish breakfast and salmon & scrambled eggs on toast, along with cereal, yoghurt, juice, tea and coffee. It's about a 15 min walk into the centre of Baltimore town and we were provided high vis jackets to ensure our safety walking along the roads at night.

The hotel manager was very nice and even upgraded us to a seaview room. The room was a bit cold as it was still early spring and I called down to the front to ask about it, again the manager was helpful and even came up to check and see if the heating had come on.
