It is a fairly small village about 10 km west of Galway. There was no parking problem. It was easy to access Galway city and Salthill. The way to the west, including Connemara and Clifden was very picturesque in places. Following the "Wild West Trail" was very worthwhile. Very pretty small village near Atlantic coast. Most places have seaview or mountains. Donnellys was great with lovely food and live Irish music. A few pubs and other restaurants also nearby. Seafood restaurant near seafront. Supermarket and cafes nearby to b&bs.

Barna itself is a lovely little village, about 20 minutes from Galway City. The highlight has to be our stay in Twelve Hotel, a must for any visitors to Barna. The food and service in the West Restaurant in the Twelve hotel was incredible.
