Breakfast was self-service. Our host did a load of laundry for us, mid-way through our 2-week trip. The proprietors also operate a small farm and it was wonderful to observe their animals.

The breakfast provided was so fresh and delicious. The bread, eggs, tomatoes, orange juice and pressed coffee made for a luxurious morning! The hut was incredibly well built, the shower water was hot and plentiful, every detail was thought of in the kitchen for amenities. The king sized bed was super comfortable with plenty of pillows and cozy bedding. The chickens and ducks outside the hut made for a very pleasant atmosphere. The seating outside with farm views and magical fairy garden made the stay so wonderful. The host was gracious. She met us to introduce to the details of usage and then checked in with us briefly to make sure all was well. Her contact felt like "just the right amount".
In Athenry, east of Galway, the friendly Raheen Woods Hotel serves good food and has leisure facilities for kids and adults, including a swimming pool, gym and hot tub.

Beautiful property - I stayed two nights. Drove through the tiny village of Moylough. Very quiet, not a tourist town, but a rural town. Make sure you have a good GPS to get to and from the Wild Atlantic Way and the Cliffs of Moher and don't come back in the nighttime.
