This was the first hotel of our India trip where we were greeted in perfect English. The hotel is beautifully restored and decorated, with comfortable beds and good showers. The restaurant is excellent, the pool area is well-maintained - this hotel more than meets the expectations of western travellers. We also liked the fact that the hotel had a tipping box for all staff, which avoids awkwardness when not knowing how much to tip the staff for the various services provided.

It’s a hidden gem. Small, great atmosphere, functional and spacious rooms, very friendly staff and fab Indian food. Try the spicy lamb curry and the daal with garlic naan.
The village is worth a stroll and very photogenic during the sunset illumination.

Room is spacious and full of character. As a family of four we booked 2 double rooms which were both very nicely decorated and inside a old haveli, very well kept. Rooms and beds clean. Location is perfect. The whole property is a must see, a dive in history
Owners and staff super friendly, they even drove us around at night looking for a music performance.
Nice garden for aperitivo and nice food in the restaurant.

Beautiful decorated hotel in an old original haveli with wonderful painted walls in the room. The erotic painting was amazing.
Bed comfortable, hot water ok
Food was very good, although it was quite cold in the dining area
The only but for me big issue was that there was no electric kettle for tea making although it was mentioned in the room description that there is one
I don't need Television or so but electric kettle is important for me and I always look for accommodation providing it.
So very annoying when it's in the description but actually not there

Each Haveli has its own character so a short visit to all is recommended esp. Sone Chandi ki Haveli, Chobdar Haveli, Thalia, Murmuria.
A detour to Ramgarh, Nawalgarh and Mahansar ( for Sone ki Dukan) is highly recommended.
Food is great at Mandawa Kothi, Castle Mandawa and Vivaana Hotel.

Mandawa is old world charm - an open art walking museum that has stood the test of time and reminder of the opulence of the merchants that inhabited the area.
It has gained recent fame on account of all the mega block busters shot there.
You should visit Mandawa for its culture, a quaint small Indian town that you should walk about and appreciate all the art pieces, and taste delicious food
If Michelango painted the walls of Sevilla houses in interesting frescoes and that city got a huge hit of Indian culture (and animals wandering about), it would be Mandawa

Mandawa is a busy noisy dirty village with little to commend it, but it is well placed for visiting other towns and villages with Haveli's and temples.
We particularly like Junjhunu and Fatepur and a guide would be useful as sites are not easy to find.
In Fatepur Le Prince is completely shut up but the outdside is worth a look. However next door is a sign for a lawyer and we just walked into his Haveli which has some very well preserved and beautiful frescos. No charge, just a please and thank you. The entrance is through a small door in the big door. You may have to knock.

Its exactly as advertised...a tiny township which is the gateway to the frescoed havelis of the Shekhawati district. The roads are in pretty good condition, so driving is a good idea. Good choice of hotels, but be sure to check for parking if you are driving. People are waiting for tourist traffic to return.
My stay at Hotel Mandawa Haveli was truly delightful. The staff's warm welcome and attentive service ensured a smooth check-in process. The room, adorned with tasteful decor, was impeccably clean and offered a breathtaking view. The on-site restaurant impressed with its local delectable dishes. I was thoroughly impressed with the level of service and attention to detail, making my stay truly memorable. Highly recommended for a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
Stayed here three nights,in the 'green room', upstairs, center.
Huge, beautifully designed main room. Similarly attractive bathroom, bigger than most hotel rooms. Quietest place possible for Mandawa. (Amplified singing started at 5am, affects the whole area.) Proprietor and staff all extremely nice and helpful. Food delicious, generous, and inexpensive.
Everything about my experience here was just first rate. Highly recommended.
The haveli was beautiful. It was perfect for a perfect Mandawa stay. The host was attentive and was so helpful. The attending staff was sweet and very attentive. They made us feel at-home and made all efforts to help in every possible way. We will only stay at Chobar whenever we will go to Madawa. The rooms were huge and clean. Very traditional yet with all modern facilities. The haveli had a wonderful ambiance.
This hotel in an old beautifully painted haveli was one of the most comfortable and unique places we stayed during our month in India. The rooms were spacious and gorgeously painted. When visiting this are full of historic havelis, many of which have sadly fallen into disrepair, it was such a pleasure to stay in this beautiful place and imagine what life must have been like here one or two hundred years ago.
The Hotel is inside a Haveli, typical structures of the area. The room was amazingly decorated and, even tho fully equipped with all the facilities, still managed to keep the traditional look and atmosphere. The stuff was extremely nice and tried to tend to all our needs in the best way they could. We had dinner and breakfast there and they both were great and for a very reasonable price.
The staff at the hotel were very good. from the moment we reached till we checked out they treated us very well and were very much helpful. They even advised me the places I should visit on my way back as it would be on the way. Had it not been their advise I would not be able to explore such historical places on way back . I will definitely go back to this place
The staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The property was beautiful, extremely clean, and well maintained. Shekhar made us feel like royalty during our meals and the food was delicious. Deepak, our tour guide, was amazing and provided so much information and history about Mandawa.
Beautiful heritage fort property in the middle of Mandawa town. Very well maintained with spacious and comfortable rooms. Pool area is awesome. Loved the interiors of restaurant and the coffee shop. Good food and courteous staff. Excellent property to explore Shekhawati Rajasthan.
A great option if you're looking to stay in a traditional painted haveli but have a more modest budget! We found the staff friendly, and they were able to arrange a walking tour of the Mandawa havelis for us. Breakfast was filling, and a lunch / dinner menu was also available.
The haveli was very well conserved and restored. The rooms were extremely comfortable and spacious.
Also the in-house restaurant served delicious food at the rooftop.
The hotel also offered a local guide for a small walking tour of the village, which was very convenient.
Wonderful. Fully recommended we really enjoyed this place .Sanjay is a great host thanks you so match for showing us this heritage. The haveli hotel is very huge and perfectly maintained the rooftop very nice looking all town and garden invites you relax.
Hotel owner Raj was very attentive. He helped us with our every need. His sister Bittu made beautiful henna for us. Likewise, we ate very nice meals. The rooms and the hotel in general were extremely clean. I recommend this hotel
The hotel is perfectly located in the village. Walking distance from the havelis and markets. It's a really nice haveli. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Nice swimming pool. Staff is very helpful.
The boutique hotel met with my expectation: a beautiful Haveli renovated and the manager and staff very friendly. Am ready to come back in case i back to Mandawa.
The hotel has a unique atmosphere, quiet, serene and elegant. Our rooms were spacious and well furnished. The pool is an agreeable natural and central space.
