Although at a distance from the Dal Lake, the only saving grace was a clear view of the mountains and the morning sunrise from the windows. Staff is very courteous and some of them went out of their way to help us.

Location is very good for students and guests of University of Kashmir, especially if u use your own car - easy approach from the Foreshore Road with a parking in front of the house on the pasture. From windows of my room and bathroom magnificent view to north end of Dallake , Shalimar gardens and Dachigam Forest Park on horizon. Amenities rather old but very stylish in Kashmiri art. Splendid night view to the lake surroundings from the upper restaurant and quite good food.
