Anzio is a non-touristic, quiet port town.
Anzio is a non-touristic, quiet port town. Decent beaches, both free and paid. A good starting point for hydrofoil travel to Ponza Island. From here there are hydrofoils that will take you there in an hour and a half. Other places only use regular cruise ships, but they offer a four-hour journey. There are many good restaurants with local fresh fish and seafood as well as local wines. A place worth staying for shorter and longer periods.MarekPoland - 10Scored 10

if you want to stay near Rome and have the benefit of a cooler summer atmosphere and a beach holiday this it , far better than staying Ostia or Fiumicino. frequent trains air conditioned and an hours journey rome for targeted visiting.

You can reach the center of town and the harbor in less than 10mn walk. This is a very typical Italian house and it feels like proper holidays in Italy; I loved it! The owner is very nice and kind, ready to help and give you tips to where to visit and go. The place is very clean and also quiet. Barely not heard anyone. There is also a little garden outside if you want to sit and relax. I would definitely recommend it !MarineFrance

The room was large with a comfortable bed and a large lit balcony. It's a short walk to the working harbour and marina where there lots of restaurants and bars. The hotel doesn't have parking and all on street parking is metered between 9AM and 10PM but it's only 1€ an hour and the time carries over to the following day so don't have to be out earlier to top it up.AllisonUnited Kingdom

You could buy everything in the shop and cook yourself. Also it is not a big deal to get the paid and free beach. It is not far from the railway station. You should to go the the Anzio station. The flat is big and there is three rooms and balcony. Very good possibility to stay with the kid.

The beach is also with the walking distance - around 15 minutes walk. There are also shops, bars and restaurants around. The host was super friendly and helpful. And the apartment is really spacious and cozy. We enjoyed our stay to the fullest!
