First, the staff at the hotel were wonderful. They recommended several restaurants (which we really enjoyed, along with the Lambrusco wine) and helped us with our Italian, which we try to speak. The room was refreshed and cleaned each day. The location was within walking distance of all of the sites. The Ferrari museum was around the corner and as near as the rail station. Both about a 5 minute walk. The Piazza Roma is about a 15 minute walk, and the Piazza Grande about a 20 minute walk, with much to see in the historical city center.
Hotel Europa is just 492 feet from Modena Train Station, just outside the restricted-traffic area, and a 5-minute walk from the historic center. Outdoor parking is free and a garage is also available....

The location is decent for city walking and near the Enzo Ferrari Museum. The staff was friendly. The weather was nice.

The hotel is in a great location at the south end of the city center. It is beautifully decorated and appointed. The staff couldn’t be nicer or more helpful. Eager to help in any way. Our room was a very spacious and comfortable suite. Plenty of closet space.Bathroom was nice. We had a sitting room with a good desk. Nespresso machine was a very welcome amenity. We appreciated it. Breakfast buffet was amazing. Nothing you could want after that. We were there to go to Osteria Francescana. It is a block away from this hotel. But we enjoyed the market, the Palazzo Duvall, churches and Ferrari museum. We also ate at Francescetta. The best little burger and tortellini with Parmesan sauce anyone can have anywhere. Period. It’s a bit remote but would return to experience it again.

Very relaxed atmosphere in renovated old country villa. Bastiglia has all amenities, including a well stocked small supermarket and many family-owned businesses. It is well served by cycleways, including one which takes you right into Modena.
If you are using Google Maps to navigate to the B&B it will take you a long roundabout way via Bomporto, whereas it is better to navigate to the centre/Centro of the village and drive directly to the B&B along the narrow road which runs along the Naviglio.
Otherwise, you can use Waze, which will give you the correct directions!
