We had a fabulous night at this charming hotel run by lorella - the room was spotless with a very comfortable bed and great bathroom. We arrived before our check in time but they made our room ready and gave us a welcome coffee on arrival. We had a delicious dinner that evening. Luca, and his hard working staff was amazing! Always there to take care of guests needs. Breakfast was great, best we’ve had in Tuscany. Excellent location, outside Volterra walls and easy parking. Fun mix of guests who talk to each other while enjoying the great patio. Awesome old house, loving maintained, recommend!

A beautiful old villa below the walls of the city, recently renovated into a nice small hotel. Grand old rooms with high ceilings, wrought iron fixtures, indoor or outdoor breakfast. (All vegan, including fine pastries.) A short steep walk up stairs and paths to the “Porta all’Arco” gate to the city. Trees and singing birds all around the villa and all along the path up to the city wall gate. And Volterra is wonderful - fascinating Etruscan history, and not as crowded with tourists as Florence or San Gimigniano. And you can easily see all of Volterra on foot. We wished we had booked more time here.
