GUESTHOUSE & SAUNA 杜(mori), hotel in Kushimoto

A recently renovated guest house, GUESTHOUSE & SAUNA 杜(mori) offers accommodations in Kushimoto. This guest house offers free private parking, luggage storage space, and free Wifi.

What a great guest house. Located at the south end of town at end of a very quiet street next to a temple, the guest house is a beautifully maintained single story house in a traditional style, including tatami rooms for sleeping and relaxing. There's a kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals (we did), and the bathroom is well-appointed. Best of all, the manager is the absolutely nicest man. He offered to pick us up from the train station, showed us the town, and then got us settled in the guest house. When we told him we were in Kushimoto to visit the grave of an old family friend he said that he would drive us there and then to the train station. We felt very taken care of and very welcomed.

What Guests Said About Kushimoto:

    Kushimoto is a small town.

Kushimoto is a small town. If you're interested in night life, this probably isn't the place for you (the town seemed to be almost entirely silent by 9 pm). But the area is absolutely beautiful. We drove to Kumano Nachi Taisha in the day, then the Hashiguiiwa rocks in the evening, then to Shionomisaki lighthouse the next day. There's a lot of nature in the area and it seems like a great place to escape the cities.
