Fantastic little campsite in the middle of the Sri Lankan bush, only accessible by 4WD. Head in here and feel the serenity. With just the two tents it's a small, perfectly-formed operation run by the wonderful host Nero, who not only looks after your every need but whips up amazing meals in his little camp kitchen, served on a table under the stars, with a bonfire to complete the magic. In the morning Nero took us on a safari in the nearby Yala National Park, which was magical at sunrise. Highly recommended.

This is such a special place to stay! We saw loads of wildlife around the property and out on the Safari. We booked two jungle family rooms for our family of 4 and they were spacious, clean and comfortable. The food was decent, drinks were yummy, and the service was great. They don't play music at the pool or restaurants and so you become attuned to all of the nature sounds around you. It's a wonderful place and great value!
"Yakaduru Yala is located on the buffer Zone of Yala National Park. It’s Just 5 minutes away from the Yala National Park Entrance.

We stayed at Yakaduru Lodge and had an amazing time. The lodge is close to Yala National Park, which was great for our morning safari. We saw lots of wild animals like leopards, elephants, and monkeys.
Room was made with natural materials to keep it nice and cool inside. We loved the traditional Sri Lankan food they served, book the BBQ under the stars. This is basic luxury in heaven

We visited Yala for two days (with two separate game drives - one evening and one morning one) and although we enjoyed the animals we observed, we did not have any sightings of leopards despite being the national park with the highest concentration in the world. But that is nature so we were just unlucky on those days. However, the most disappointing aspect of Yala was the sheer number of vehicles allowed into the park at one time. As soon as elephants or leopards are sighted, drivers communicate among themselves and vehicles all rush to the scene creating a massive traffic jams. This makes it feel very mass market and doesn’t seem very respectful of the wildlife

Terrible time. No wild animals as expected.
Terrible time. No wild animals as expected. Roads are all around the jungle which is pretty disturbing to the wild life. After all it is supposed to be a protected zone for wild life. Jeeps are crawling every corner of the territory. Amused to see all of that disturbing scenes in a wild life protected zone. It's like business zone. Poor animals.

I loved Yala.
I loved Yala. The number of different animals seen was slightly disappointing but apparently wash outs due to rain prevented us from accessing some internal roads. The sunrise and scenery were stunning. I would rate it as good value despite the lack of animals. The whole experience was wonderful.

The national park in Yala is beautiful however it is hard to drive around as the roads are poorly maintained. There is a large populatin of birds and i think this safari would suit bird watchers more than those who want to see the elephants. The 6am -6pm safari is too long.
Sigiriya is far superior when it comes to large herds of elephants.

The hike in the nature reserve was amazing, we saw lots of amazing animals and landscapes.
Were lucky and we were able to meet the tiger as well.
It is important to note that the trip should take drinks and food, the hotel staff where we were did not tell us the length of the trip and did not make sure to let us know that we should take care of ourselves.
Of course we were smarter and brought with us the necessary equipment ..
But there were those next to us who did not and that was unfortunate

We stayed at Laya Beach resort which was very beautiful and was very close to our safari's which made our stay even better.
The beach, however, was too rough to swim which was a little disappointing.
We loved everything about this hotel! As this is a small hotel (only 3 rooms), we were the only guests (we booked 2 rooms here). Everything looks like new, there’s a nice pool zone, you can reach beach on foot (takes less than 10 minutes). The staff was amazing and we couldn’t imagine a better service. They prepared a lunch box for our 5AM Yala safari tour. We also had lunch and dinner here - the food was amazing and the portions were huge. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who considers having a safari at Yala national park!
The property is based inside Yala national park which makes it less than 10min to get to the safari entrance ahead of the crowd. Because of that, you can also see a lot of wild animals walking around the hotel’s lake - saw elephants, buffalos, and lots of birds and crocodiles.
The bar, restaurant and pool area comfortable, spacious and a nice place to spend some time.
The bedrooms are really good and clean.
The staff are if anything a little too attentive, however all with good intentions and everyone was friendly and nice.
The staff at the Yala Hotel went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. Their warm welcome and genuine smiles made me feel right at home. This was a campsite with power supplied by cells and water trucked in every four days.
During the first night, they lit special candle lanterns around our site just to make the place warm and cozy.
Just before we left, Indika the manager gave me the opportunity to plant an orange tree on the grounds. He promised to send me photos of the progress. I am looking forward to it.
My stay at Leopard Nest Yala Glamping was exceptional. The staff welcomed me warmly and made me feel at home from the start. The tents were luxurious, offering stunning views and all the comforts one could ask for. What impressed me most was their dedication to sustainability and wildlife conservation. The guided safari through Yala National Park was unforgettable, especially seeing a leopard in its natural habitat. I highly recommend Leopard Nest Yala Glamping for anyone seeking a memorable adventure in Sri Lanka.
This is an incredible hotel that exceeded our expectations in many ways. It is hard to fault - the staff regularly went out of their way to meet our needs. The facilities were exceptional - our family pods were very comfortable and the decor classy and in keeping with safari vibes. Kids loved our private plunge pool!
The spa was fabulous - possibility one of the best massages I have ever had thanks to experienced therapists. The quality of the food and choice at the restaurant can not be faulted.
One of the most unique and amazing properties I’ve been to in South Asia. Near the Yala National Park and having an amazing tour guides expect to see leopards elephants buffalos all types of birds and more… with an amazing staff super attentive, rooms to die for, clean spacious and fast WiFi. I will highly recommend this hotel for your stay on Yala. They even arranged for pick up at my Colombo hotel and back with a quick stop in Ella. It was wonderful trip
This is a great hotel to book whilst in Yala! Very good value for money. Huge bed and very comfy and a nice warm shower.
The safari we booked through them was incredible. We saw two leopards, many elephants and a black bear! (And many more beautiful animals). Our safari driver they arranged was particularly great (ask for Rowan!)
They also packed us a lovely little breakfast for the safari.
Highly recommend!
it was a beautiful property with only a few rooms all at a high quality spec, rooms were massive with amazing views, immaculately clean and the staff couldn’t do enough for us, so friendly and helpful. Food was lovely (especially the breakfast) and only 15 mins drive to Yala park and easy to book safaris through the hotel. Would highly recommend and would return if we ever went back to Yala.

Fantastic property with stunning scenes even as you enter, and as you walk around = on a beach, near a jungle (national park) and with a few mountains in the background; Excellent night sky views when not cloudy
Swimming pool looked superb (but we didn't end up using)
Rooms are large and have great amenities including fast wifi across the hotel
Good value for money
The tents were super comfortable and clean. The atmosphere was so nice, pitch dark at night with fireflies all around. There are peacocks, all kinds of birds, cows, dogs in the hotel perimeter, kids enjoyed a lot. Dinner (bbq) and breakfast was good and filling. It is approx 25 min away from Yala National park entrance, so it is convenient.
Great place to stay if you are wanting to visit Yala for safari. Large rooms, good Sri Lankan food and nice to have the option to use the swimming pool. Good communication with host via WhatsApp He arranged our transfers and an excellent safari trip where we saw elephants. A good base for if you are wanting to visit Yala for safari
My friends and me had a very nice stay in this hotel. The house was clean, calm, and the staff was really nice. We took the safari trip to yala with them also and we don’t regret it. It was really well organised and the guide was so motivated! So go for it!
My stay in Cinnamon Wild Yala was excellent! Room was in perfect condition. Both breakfast and dinner buffets were great. Staff were very kind too. I would definitely recommend it to everyone planning a visit in Yala National Park.
Exceptional experience at O2 Villas Yala! So beautiful, private and peaceful. Amazing staff! So accommodating and truly went the extra mile. Lovely pool and views! A monkey even came to visit on the balcony. What an experience!
Exceptional staff, pristine rooms! From check-in to departure, the team here goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. Coupled with rooms that are impeccably clean, it's a winning combination near the national park.
The venue is really close to a beautiful, wild beach, close to Yala and much nature. Very much recommend, and unlike a lot of venues we stayed at in Sri Lanka, the shower and bathroom was fantastic. Definitely recommend!!
Friendly staff, excellent catering to dietary restrictions, and the guided safaris run by the hotel were incredible.
Janith and our driver were exceptionally knowledgeable and took us on wonderful safaris!
Amazing luxury villa in tune with nature. Open air shower was great and so were the trees growing in the villa. Staff are top rate and speak good English. Food also excellent. Ideal for Yala safaris !
The rooms and location were amazing. The staff was friendly and was a great overall experience. A must visit place just to experience luxury living amidst the jungle.
