We loved our host and hostess Bertus and Una,and the staff, Areletta, Orbadea, Alfonso and Renaldo.
We loved the informal, rustic atmosphere and facilities. We also liked the Bali style furniture and island style decor furnishing.
We had a most relaxing restful time.
It was easy to arrange to do shopping in Bilene town, just being a 7min boat trip across the lagoon.
We enjoyed the picturesque drive around the lagoon too, although there was a small section just outside town of Bilene on the way there that may have needed a 4x4. We had our bakkie so we were fine.
The beach just in front of the lodge as well as a smaller lagoon and various swimming pools are ideal for couples and families.
The canoes were a lot of fun, and we took them to the lagoon mouth to explore.
We would highly recommend this destination for a total rest and breakaway.
I would recommend staying long enough so that you lose track of time and all the world's trouble. We staying 2 weeks long and we should have stayed longer if we knew prior to the time just how wonderful it would be!
