Grande Fjord Hotel, hotel in Geiranger

Beautifully located by the Geiranger Fjord, Grande Fjord Hotel offers rooms with cable TV and private bathrooms. Most rooms have private balconies with stunning fjord views.

One of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Every detail - the design, the delicious breakfast, the wonderful staff and manager, and most importantly the most beautiful location - was perfect. Our first time in Geiranger but certainly not our last, and we’ll be sure to stay at the Grande Fjord next time as well

Vinje Camping, hotel in Geiranger

Offering a barbecue and children's playground, Vinje Camping is located in Geiranger in the Møre og Romsdal Region. Hurtigruten Terminal Gerianger is 0.7 mi away.

These were the cutest, coziest cabins! The night prior, we had stayed at very modern, container-ship cabins which were 'Instagrammable', but not comfortable AT ALL. While the cabins at Vinje weren't modern in any way, they were adorable, spacious, clean and had all the amenities of the 'modern' ones we stayed in, including a small kitchen where you can cook meals, if you'd like (Joker grocery store in town). The grounds were right alongside a river and small waterfall - and while we didn't have the time to hike, there appear to be many hiking trails nearby. The cabins are also right near the town core of Geiranger - easy to get to our kayaking adventure in the fjord and a delicious dinner at Brasserie Posten. The staff were very friendly, check-in/check-out easy. They bake goods (croissants, buns) in the morning which are available for purchase at a small price. The only additional cost was for sheets/bedding. But overall, the cost to stay here was cheap, regardless of the add'l bedding cost.

Solhaug Fjordcamping, hotel in Geiranger

Offering sea views, Solhaug Fjordcamping in Geiranger features accommodations, a garden and a terrace. Located by the Geirangerfjord, free WiFi is featured.

The cabin had a beautiful view over Geiranger. It had a cozy atmosphere and we had all the basics we needed. Beds were comfortable. We liked that we weren't expected to clean the place before we left - we just had to leave it tidy. At first we found it a bit strange coming from Namibia, but it really does help that they are very strict about guests keeping the toilets and showers clean themselves. People seem to then mess less.

As the end of the Geiranger Fjord, the village is constantly under a constant flow of tourists coming with the huge cruise ships. The village per se has nothing else special versus other Norwegian villages on any other fjord, but this constant movement of people from the ships gives it the opportunity to be super busy and even more expensive than the normal expensive Norway.

It is probably one of the nicest areas of Norway, and the Geiranger Fjords should be visited by everyone when in Norway. Despite the distances involved, visitors should get out and about, driving cars there requires some skill and attention, but the roads are well maintained. (Watch out for hikers and bikers!). A day trip to Alesund is also recommended!

Geiranger is one of the most attractive destinations in the world , the nature itself is a reward and what i suggest is that the concerned authorities can add more services here and there to meet the needs and the expectations of all tourists from all over the world , like more supermarkets , more shopping options etc

Nice little village but very touristy when cruise liners are in. Limited choice of restaurants. Lots of tourist goods shops, boat trips available along with kayaking etc. A nice place to chill for a couple of days.

The cabin was well equipped with microwave, oven and kettle.

The cabin was well equipped with microwave, oven and kettle. The place is clean and the bathroom was very spacious. The space was just nice, compact but not too small. There was also laundry in the bathroom and dryer close by. This was a real plus as I was travelling around Norway for over 25 days. The location was 5 mins from town and the road to and from town was very easy. Great location with beach view

So many natural beauty places to see around here, and hikes to do. I would recommend hiring a boat for fjord exploration at your own pace. Taking a short drive to the Dalsnibba viewpoint is a must, as well as to any of the other close-by viewpoints. Walk the steps next to the powerful display of water flowing into the fjord. Take a canoe/kayak and see the many waterfalls from up close.

The cabin was spotlessly clean, well equipped and nicely furnished. We particularly loved the comfortable seats facing the large window with views of the fjord. This was an amazing, small camp site in a beautiful location. I’ll never get over the views. It’s a short drive or 35 minute walk to the lovely small touristy town of Geiranger where you’ll find a small supermarket. There are numerous walks and hikes nearby and there’s also a small stones beach attached to the site if you’re brave enough to get in the icy cold fjord water.

This room had the best view of any place we stayed in Norway! It has a balcony directly overlooking the Geiranger Fjord. It is hard to leave the balcony to explore the area. The town is very small but fun to explore. A must do is the walk up the waterfall that is next to the caravan park, beautiful. Wonderful breakfast included. This is the only big hotel in this small town and it is pricy, but the view and breakfast are worth the money.

We had a wonderful weekend in Westeras Gard! With a view overlooking. We stayed in a small wooden house for two people. It was warm and cozy at night. Hospitable and polite staff is always helpful. They fed us a hot dinner just before closing time. Also Westeras Gard has one of the best restaurants in Geiranger, where we eat. Delicious farm food. Highly recommend this place and thank you for your state and care.
