Older style motel (and that’s one the reasons I chose it), very clean and comfortable, laid-back feel to the place and close to amenities.

Very secluded getaway location pretty much designed specifically for wine makers because there wineries for Africa there, but the town lacks in offering much else as a reason to go there unless you’re into tramping (the surrounding areas are tailor made for it) - very little tourist attractions offered in the township compared to nearby Wanaka which punches well above its weight.

Great for wine tasting, especially also at Bannockburn, Lowburn and Northburn. Particularly recommended a booking at Felton Road. Waterpark adds a new dimension. Walking and cycling. It can be windy and also grey in winter.

It had been 12 years since we last visited Cromwell.
It had been 12 years since we last visited Cromwell. Not surprisingly it had grown and changed significantly - and for the better. The town has a pleasant ambience about it and the people appear very relaxed. Everything one wants is there and there is a comprehensive range of retail and hospitality. We liked our trip so much that we shall be returning for a more thorough look around.

It is a friendly, well-kept town with fabulous scenery.
It is a friendly, well-kept town with fabulous scenery. Very close to Arrowtown and Queenstown without the traffic hassles (especially of Qtown). It has a reasonable number of shops, enough restaurants and pubs. we didn't have kids but there seemed to be plenty of places for them to run around and play. it felt safe and inviting.

Great accommodation that was not expensive but very homely...
Great accommodation that was not expensive but very homely and a central location to see and visit the rest of Central Otago. Dined at the Town and Country Club , Carrick Winery, barbequed at our unit.
The location, the view, and the privacy were spectacular. The room and facilities were high-quality, new and beautiful. Our bathroom was equipped with a large tub next to a picture window with a great view, plants, double sinks, instant-on great shower. The breakfast was presented so that we could set our own schedule, and snacks of fruit, chocolate, cold drinks & Nescafe coffee were available all the time for us out in the hall. Dinner at Bannockburn Hotel was a treat. Jules & Chris took great care of us!
The staff were amazing, the rooms were lovely and great value with plenty of parking and a great view from our second floor balcony. We had a visiting kitty who popped up for a pat and to give us some company on our second night so as cat folk, she obviously found her peeps! 🤣 I would certainly recommend Cromwell as a place to stay with the wineries close by and the heritage precinct as a highlight. This motel is central to them all with a bar and restaurant and exceptional hospitality from all the staff
Michelle was very nice and helpful. She turned the heater on before we arrived, took us to the bike rentals, and gave us a ride back to the motel. Thank you Michelle for your kindness.
The room was spacious and homey. For the price it is a great value. The kitchen got all the necessary stuff to make a meal. The shower was so nice to be in, it was big, the water warmed up quickly, and the shower head is moveable.
We stayed in Cromwell as we had picked up our daughter from Otago Uni in Dunedin for the school holidays and then drove into Arrowtown/Queenstown so wanted somewhere outside of Queenstown to stay. It was just perfect! A great spacious place with everything we needed. It was clean, warm, comfy, quiet and modern. Would thoroughly recommend.
Extremely comfortable well appointed unit. The views at any time of day were exceptional. Our host Fran welcomed us and checked that we had all wee needed for our stay. She was keen to provide information about the neighborhood as well as Cromwell itself.
Not for those wanting modern or luxurious amenities. Older apartment in small family owned motel. We enjoyed a enjoyed a glass of wine on the back porch on a summer's evening. We will definitely stay here again if Cromwell is the option for a stay.

The place was MASSIVE - so much bigger than I thought it would be! Easy to find, heaps of parking, very clean and very modern, well appointed, very very impressed. We'll definitely be back next time we're staying in Cromwell.
Super clean and comfortable unit that suited us perfectly 😊 Close to Cromwell and 2 minutes to the cycle trail . Really appreciated all the supplies in the kitchen , condiments, cooking oil and breakfast cereals .
Outstanding accommodation that exceeded my expectations. I was met at the gate to ensure I could find the key. Spotless room and Netflix was a bonus. Will definitely consider again when I'm next in Cromwell.
The motel room had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and the location is right in front where all restaurants/shops/supermarkets are.
Will stay here again in future if I come to Cromwell again.
The location of the apartment isn’t far out of Cromwell and has a beautiful view on the lake. Comfortable beds, roomy apartment . A great spot to stay!
