Easy check-in process. Nice sunny spacious unit, with lovely bay window, in a relatively quiet location. The room overlooked a lawn and pretty flowering shrubs (and a family of quails) - very relaxing. Good accessible bathroom with shower stool supplied. Excellent water pressure in the shower. Great wi-fi. The motel was within a short driving distance to all the lovely bays on the Mahurangi peninsula. Overall, really good value for money.

Nice clean property with good facilities and a lovely view.
Nice clean property with good facilities and a lovely view. It lacked an entertaining deck, but we booked two houses for our large party and the other house had a huge deck, so it was not an issue. All other facilities were very good. We found plenty to do in the surrounding area. The key code we'd been given didn't work when we arrived but a quick call to Bachcare got us the correct code. I'd recommend this property.

Snells Beach is very scenic with white sand and Pohutukawa trees. It is lovely to walk along the beach. When the tide is out it is a long way to the water, and when the tide is in the water isn't that deep (but that makes it great for kids).
There are a few takeaway shops, bakery, Indian restaurant and a pub at Snells Beach. Only a 10 minute drive to Warkworth and Matakana which have more restaurants and shops.
Snells Beach is close to the Matakana wine region which has some quality vineyards (some you have to book to visit), and also breweries.

The hotel is in a great location, with views from the balcony to the sea, opposite several shops and restaurants and just down the road from a delicious Indian Restaurant The Spice Root, recommended by the manager, and the Salty Dog Inn. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and recently renovated. It was great value. It is also only a short distance back to Auckland and to Sandspit for the Royal Mail ferry.

Really lovely cafes and restaurants, we ate at Little and Local Bistro and the Bayside Bistro. Both were lovely meals, well priced for what we got. We stayed over a long weekend to see the local area and attractions. It was a great location to reach other areas, quite at night and easy driving to nearby places. Didn’t see much else to do in the local area except enjoy the beaches which are really pretty but not for water sports as no surf.

Unfortunately the room we got was unsafe and unclean, the bathroom light was rusted and did not work and the toilet did not flush properly. We were supposed to stay two nights but left after the first night.
Pretty disappointed really :(
It's a lovely lodge, especially if you're a couple looking for a getaway. It's close to Matakana and Warkworth, Tawharanui and many other beautiful beaches. The apartment had everything you'll need during a holiday. Fully equipped kitchen, all the breakfast supplies, a bbq and a beautiful deck with a view on the beach. The hosts were very accommodating and just so friendly and truly cared about our comforts. A nice touch was a fresh ball of fruit on arrival.
very spacious light and airy room, massive comfortable bed, two chairs by a small dining table (surprising how many hotels/motels have only one chair in a room for a couple), being separate from the main building housing a bar, bistro and restaurant, it was quiet. Adequate car parking for each guest., a wardrobe with hangars and plenty of drawers etc as storage space. We were going to Kauwau island so stayed here before and after our trip to the island.

Near the water. Reasonably priced and bed was comfortable and clean. We needed two beds, and they were able to accommodate with a fold out couch. Black out curtains. Checkout easy (just leave key in room). If you like drinking and playing darts the bar/restaurant might be your kind of place.
large room and valuable for money
This is a motel you can relax aways from home
Specially if you are from oversea or away from home for a week this the right place you choose to stay
Close to everything
And nice beach you can take a walk in the evening and morning very safe to walk
We loved our stay at Snells Beach Motel. The pool was lovely. Our 2 bedroom unit was spacious and clean. Jo the manager was very friendly and went out out of her way to help and advise us. The kitchen was well appointed with cups, glasses and cutlery that matched.
Friendly and welcoming reception. Our one-bedroom-unit was very spacious and very clean. Huge bathroom (wheelchair -friendly) Good location with a good walk down to the beach. In easy walking distance opposite the motel are several places for food and drinks.
Fabulous motel - have stayed here before and will come back again. The heated outdoor pool is a bonus, especially for the children. Owner and staff as always, are friendly and super accommodating. Wonderful family motel.
Superb location on the waterfront. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and relaxing. There are not many restaurants at Snells Beach but we did enjoy the Little and Local which was about 10 minutes walk away.
We loved the location and how comfortable the motel was. Plus there was plenty of off street parking. We deffinately recommend Snells Beach Motel and would like to come back again in the future.
Great motel, easy to find, good location with shops across the road, room was well equipped with a kitchenette, the spa bath was a hit, my 10 year old and 2 year old loved the swimming pool.
Wonderful experience staying at Snells Beach Motel, very helpful and accommodating offering us a late checkout after running the Omaha half marathon. Kids absolutely loved the pool!
A good central location in Snells, big car park nearby, spacious room at a good price. Having the pub next door was nice, though it closed promptly at 10.
Room very comfortable, spacious and clean. Check in very relaxed, checkout even more so. Great value for money and better than many hotels in Auckland.
An outstanding property and Jo, the Manager/Owner is, AWESOME. She upgraded us to a Spa Bath Room. Location to Snells Beach is literally a street away.
