The family is very caring, but they also give you your private space. It feels very special to be a part of their world for a short moment! Even though we had a reeeeally bad thunderstorm for one night and it got really cold, they put a little ethanol heater and it kept us cozy.

The host / owner was super friendly and helpful, and warned up about upcoming blockades on the road. He was accommodating towards our need to leave super early to try and beat the blockades (we failed, but wasn't on him). Rooms were enormous, and dinner and breakfast can both be had here. I loved the super hard beds but they won't be for everyone.

We loved our stay at The Best Lodge. The views were incredible, our room was huge and very comfortable, and the family running it were incredibly welcoming. They really looked after us and even organised a surprise when they found out it was our honeymoon. The food was simple but delicious and well priced. A peaceful oasis.
