Slubice lies on the Polish/German border,about 85 kilometres east of Berlin. It's very much a tourist town,a magnet for Germans who cross the border to buy cigarettes,vodka and cut-price petrol. As a result,there are loads of duty-free shops and supermarkets.Other than this,it's a pleasant little town which boasts a few historical monuments and enjoyable riverside walks. IF,whilst there,you want a good meal,look no further than Douane,slap-bang in the centre of town.

It was very quiet and certainly would be a great place to come with children with so much space around . We found getting to the hotel rather difficult, though there certainly is very good signing, both on the main roads and once you have started on the route. It was the fact that the access was on dirt tracks, unmade roads, that was a little daunting ....or quite an adventure.

Overall, hotel is good for short stop, then traveling to of from Germany. Germany border is only 3 km. Slubice is nice town.

It is just several kilometres from the PL-DE border which makes it an excellent stop. In comparison with several other hotels with similar price range located nearby, Olimpik Park is next to a sports stadium (you can have a morning jog there), and a nice hilly forest.
