Charming small town, slightly off the tourist beaten track, this isn’t a bad thing! Plenty of temples to visit. Relatively easy to walk to all the main sights. People are very friendly. Some lovely places to eat in the town. There is a rooftop bar at one of the hostels which is a real hidden gem.

You don’t need more than 2 days here.
You don’t need more than 2 days here. We took the train from Bangkok and arrived around 3pm. Checked into our hotel and hung out. Then the next day we did a full day tour which our host set up for us and then we left the following day. It was the right amount of time because there’s not that much to do here.

I take photographs of wildlife, monkeys and monks, temples and people. So Phetchaburi kept me occupied for 16 days - I can't understand why so few people get off the train. It is just the right size to walk around, although Thanyachatra is just off a busy road that is not very easy to cross (but no traffic nose at the hotel). The locals are wonderful and once they had got used to seeing me around, I found that those who spoke English were keen to chat and helpful. The town is full of wonderful schools and happy, smiling and beautifully turned out children and teenagers.

It was an oasis in the middle of town
The staff was very friendly and organised a limousine for the day to take us to some local sights.Although the staff at the accommodation had very little English a phone call away was a very well spoken man who organised our limousine and taxi to the station
Would highly recommend to anyone
We could use bikes for free, which was very pleasant to explore the city and environment (the cave is an absolute must, only 10 minutes away by bike). The owner was super helpful (ea with providing a taxi). The rooms are big and clean and have very good facilities (mini bar with snacks at super reasonable prices).
The guesthouse is a good but basic place to stay. I will recomanded becouse The owner is a verry sweet thay lady, who knows to give service. She speaks Englisch verry wel. Under the hotel she also runs a koffie bar and small restaurant. You can eat some european food as wel for dinner.
Located in the city center of Phetchaburi, the Chedi View Hostel is a great place to stay. The rooftop terrace offers a great view of the Phra Nakhon Kiri, further you can easily walk to the city center. Staff is very friendly and helpful. It was a great stay.
The room was very clean and spacious. The owners spoke English well, and were friendly and helpful. Phetchaburi is in a lovely agricultural area, and we would gladly return to 2N if we are ever back in the area.
We felt welcome from the first moment. Our hostess, who.speaks English well took time to tell us about the city and give us tips where to go. Our room.was nice and clean, and the breakfast was perfect too.
It was clean. A noticeable effort to decorate and not make it look junky. Everything organized. Host was most helpful in getting us bus reservations and a ride to the station. Much appreciated.
It is very simple hotel, room was average size, good hard beds. Everything worked. Clean. Personal speaks very little English, but using hands and feet and translation app everything is possible :)
Fabulous hotel. Really comfortable clean rooms. Lovely friendly and welcoming lady, who ordered us a taxi to go to Phetchaburi. Coffee and basic breakfast included. Good air con.
Location, not too far from city center, surrounded with many places to visit. Very friendly and informative staff. Good rooftop view. And free bicycle rental for guests.
Very nice small- 3rooms- hotel with view of historic mountain. Short walk to town. Can walk to cable car to tour mountain palace, temples. Love the top deck.
Staff were really helpful, arranged tuktuk for us. Room was clean and quiet. Close to several good restaurants and tourist attractions. Great value for money
