Andover Inn, hotel in Andover

This historic Massachusetts inn, on the 500-acre campus of Phillips Academy, is a 30 minute drive from Boston. Andover Inn features an on-site restaurant and rooms with flat-screen cable TVs.

We were very disappointed that the restaurant and bar were closed. It was Super Bowl Sunday. Also, there was no room service. Otherwise, we were pleased with our stay.

Couldn't really enjoy my stay, it rained every day I was there, I spend a lot of my time in the hotel and I had to move to another room , just didn't work out for my family this time.. its close to Boston 30 mins, Boston was great ,, but Andover is more of a quiet town.Went to chenlee in lawrence restaurants 2 times this place was amazing, went to chili's next to the hotel it was complete garbage food and service, staff didn't really pay attention, food was bad, Couldn't really travel do to rain. If you going to book any trips here make sure there is a indoor pool or something you can do inside facilities. Plan before you go or you might hate it here for a bit.. also all the hotels or night inns should have a detailed mapped areas where to visit for when it's sunny and rainy. Some people don't have any idea where to go after visiting people. Maybe patterning up with local adventure and fun activities places that offer some type of fun for a family and friends. This place is no great adventure.

Liked everything about it , staff sincerely pleasant and friendly - at front desk, room service, on the phone, in the cafeteria, etc. The rooms were spacious, aesthetically attractive, tastefully and symmetrically organized, yet tastefully and simply done. Furniture was sturdy and very comfortable. Not just a chair but a recliner! Showers, sinks, toilets, ac, all appliances and tvs were in perfect working condition. Soundproofing was A+! The free breakfast had so many choices. Everything was kept hot and/or fresh and was regularly changed over. I do not have a single complaint and only one suggestion. There has been a lot of rain this year making it difficult to keep up with the fast growing greenery. As a result visibility of oncoming traffic, when exiting the parking lot, was compromised, an issue I am sure that they have already addressed.

La Quinta In is nice clean place with friendly staff. Breakfast was not very impressive however. I’m not sure what the “scrambled eggs” were but I’m quite certain they were not real eggs and the flavor was very bland.

This was a trip to visit a relative in a rehab center. We needed a relaxing place after the visit each day. This Springhill provided that. It is located in Minuteman Park, an industrial area that exists ina park like setting. Very well maintained. Easy access to Ete 93 & 495. There are walking paths through out over bridges. Just delightful!

In general we were satisfied with our stay here.

In general we were satisfied with our stay here. We were mainly visiting family, so the hotel experience was more about "function" than "luxury". Located just off I-93 with easy access to I-495 made it easy to get many places quickly. The hotel is in a business park, so it was quiet over the holiday weekend. If you crossed the main road, there are sidewalks through the business park and down to the river, so it was convenient for exercise/walking. There is an Italian restaurant and Dunkin Donuts in walking distance, and several other restaurants a close drive away, many more within 1-2 miles. The room layout, setup and location in the hotel was good. We were on the third floor, near a stairwell, so we found that easy in and out. We were in a "corner" so it was quiet. This is an extended stay hotel, and there did appear to be people living here. The provided breakfast was continental, and we were satisfied with the variety of options (cereal, a variety of breads (muffins, bagels, etc.) and a selection of breakfast sandwiches that could be heated in a microwave). The coffee was really good. The AC in our room had a thermostat, but it was difficult to regulate and kind of noisy. We had an issue getting our room cleaned, that was probably a result of staffing shortages and miscommunications. It took 3 times complaining before I got the property manager and then the room was cleaned (each evening I complained, the on-duty manager gave me clean towels and I left the dirty ones outside the door). The manager worked hard to make it right, and we will give them a second chance/stay here again.

Place was ok could use a few touch ups and a little better maintenance and about the pool which was close - was told the hotel was waiting for the town to give its ok to open the pool - if the reason is because of COVID - the breakfast area was more packed with no social distancing and must without a mask - so don’t know why the pool could not be open

We had breakfast at the hotel on one morning and it was excellent! Free coffee in the lobby at all times was appreciated. The hotel location is perfect. No noise inside even if the hotel is right next to Hwy-93. The double-king-bed room is a perfect size for 2 adults. Everything, from furniture to rugs, beds and bathrooms were impeccably cleaned. Having some luggage to carry inside, the multiple entrances at different ends of the hotel were very convenient. Parking is quite large.

The Andover Inn is iconic. A classic and classy hotel on the edge of the Phillips Academy campus within a 5-10 minute walk to downtown Andover. The location is perfect. It's a lovely older hotel, but has been updated so the amenities are fine. The bed is super comfortable, bathroom is small but clean. The room was very quaint, clean, and comfortable. Plenty of room for the two of us. The front desk staff were delightful; extremely helpful and friendly.

The exterior of the hotel was very nice. Inside it was bright and clean. Staff were lovely, room was large with 1 bedroom, en-suite, small living area and small kitchen. It was very clean and comfortable. Free breakfast was a bonus. Lots to choose from, freshly made pancakes were delicious. Also cereal, toast, fruit, yogurt, muffins, scrambled eggs, sausages etc. Overall a great hotel which i would definitely recommend.

Very comfortable hotel in a very picturesque setting. We were visiting our daughter at Merrimack College so the location was just perfect for our needs. Would have liked to spend a bit more time at the hotel as the facilities looked great but there was an event on during our stay so it was very busy. Will definitely be back!
