Aesthetics were pleasing but that's pretty much where it ended. The staff was accommodating, understanding, but lackluster and to be understood because it's clear that hotel is not being managed well.

Break fast was pretty decent with scrambled egg, potato, sausage, pancake and fruits. Muffin tasted awesome.
Typical US uptown of uptown. Clean and quiet. At 10PM all is closed except of 7Eleven. But is close to NJ MetLife arena and main roads to NY/NJ. The main attraction in the neighborhood is Dreamworks/Nickedeon parks with huge mall. But if you look for accommodation for this attractions in nearest hotels - DON'T make my mistake! The mall and both attached parks are in fact available only by car. So make complete no sense to book hotel 1 mile or even 5 miles closer for extra 100$ when anyway you need to drive or call Uber. Even the bus stop by the hotel- which I found as logical transportation for 0,4 mile distance is not problem solver since only long distance buses stops there. - walking/cycling is not an option- the district around arena and mall is heavily industrialized and sliced by 3 highways so 0,4 miles on the map turns to 2 miles walking/biking with sideways and bumps on the way.

They made the ease to get to Met life stadium effortless. Not sure if the company that helped with shuttles was the hotel staff or outside company but all worked so well together I wouldn't know the difference.

When first arriving the lady at the front desk wasn’t very friendly. They don’t room service daily due to Covid. They also don’t provide trash places to put trash if you have trash and don’t request room service. You have to request room service by 10am. Our shower head was very excessive and my son said it hurt to much to use. Upon check one once again the front desk was not very friendly. It is rather close to American dream which is why we stayed here.
My issue is the do a 150 hold on your room for issues. I stayed with my 2 year old and 10 year old and another adult the night before check out my two year old threw up on the pillow we stripped the pillow case and clean up the best we could but it was 11 at night at this point and had to be on the road at 8 at the latest. They hotel charged 150 for excessive throw up on two pillow case from a 2 year old. Prior to leaving we bagged up and stripped the beds to make it easier for house keeping to clean our room since we did stay for four days. Upon calling the hotel they first tried to rush me off the phone saying it would be credit with in 3 to 5 business days but then changed to the vomit story after I explained the charge was cleared multiple times. As well they do not send any notice that they were keeping the 150 charge either.

However the sink was broken, there was pink mold in the shower, the wall paper was peeling actually look like a leak , AC barely worked. Area for breakfast was super tiny and tight. We booked because of the excellent reviews. I’m not sure what was excellent.

Nice location. 20 mins from Manhattan (depending on Lincoln tunnel congestion of course) Comparable Manhattan places were asking for 4 figures for a night. We opted to be a little bit uncomfortable and drive in and saved almost couple of grand.
The hotel was very convenient to MetLife Stadium. As we check in we saw that they had a shuttle bus from one of the restaurants two building down. That was the best PRO that's what we was there for. The guy who check me in was very helpful. It seem I requested a smoking room. I didnt know they still offer smoking rooms but he was very nice with changing my family to non smoking. PRO. He also came to the room to assist with the AC unit.
Manager went above and beyond to assure the best experience possible. Staff were friendly and helpful. Views from the City View rooms were pleasing. Beds were comfortable. Gym and pool were small, but enjoyable. Breakfast was decent. Little convenience shop was decent. Location was pretty straightforward to getting to American Dream by Uber / Lyft. I hope in the future they might add a shuttle like another nearby hotel has.
It’s a good option for New York, without breaking the bank, given of course that you are ok with the “commute". We used the buses leaving from Port Authority which stop about 200 m from the hotel.
There are other options on that street too, so definitely recommend as an alternative to expensive Manhattan.
Breakfast is also good for US, you get omelettes, bacon, sausages, yogurt, fruits and oatmeal, not just the sweet options.
Great hotel, very clean, nice and spacious room. It seemed like they thought of everything! Very comfortable. The location was maybe not the best for someone planning to be in NYC, but once you know how the bus works, it's fine. Only half an hour to Times Square. And the other pros of this hotel definitely make up for it. I don't think a (more expensive) small pod at Times Sq would've been a better option for me personally
The hotel is gorgeous- looks better in person than on the website actually (usually it's the opposite). The staff went all out for the Bruce Springsteen concert at Metlife. The shuttle to and from Redds restaurant was so convenient. I will definitely stay here again whenever going to a show at Metlife!
Hot breakfast was great. Plenty of food options available. Location-wise, it served my purpose very well as it was walking distance to the NJ bus station that easily takes you to & from Manhattan, NY. Hotel was clean and my room was quite spacious and reasonably-priced considering the proximity to NY.
Location is conveniently located near busy Route 17 that has a lot of restaurants and stores. Mexican restaurant La Fortaleza is right next to the hotel. Delicious food in walking distance. Check-in was prompt and smooth! The room was nice and clean! Pool was closed due to Covid.
Staff exceptional, friendly and helpful. All.parts of hotel modern & clean, breakfast was very good and plentiful. Coffee and tea available 24hrs. Parking convenient and easy access to Manhattan via Lincoln tunnel. Next to America mall and met life stadium
Great location to get to New York. Public transport via the bus with the bus stop directly outside and buses appear to be regular even at weekends and buses were never full. Hotel including the room and facilities were great.
We were thrown off by the location and at first thought we weren’t at the right hotel. Once inside we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was fantastic and the hotel was very clean.
Clean, good breakfast options, close to busline, parking available. Excellent front desk desk staff. It is what you would expect for the money at a Marriott Hotel.
It was comfortable and clean. Nice big bathroom. Closest hotel to American Dream Mall. Lots of parking also. 24 hours coffee right by the elevator is nice.
