I absolutely love how easy it was to get to the hotel, how it smelled when you walked into the lobby, how friendly the staff was and how clean my room was. I will be back with my family again.

Not a destination, but perfect for passing through.
Not a destination, but perfect for passing through. I was on my way to dive in Key Largo. All I needed was a good night's rest without paying for an expensive room in Key Largo. Florida City/Homestead was 30 minutes out, just right for a late arrival and early departure. Plenty of affordable food choices and services.

The location was wonderful.
The location was wonderful. The area had various things to do. Everyone should make it their first and only stop before heading south into the other keys, experience them all, then return back to Florida City and enjoy the rest of your stay. Don't forget to book a room at Holiday Inn Express for a great time, and awesome breakfast and dip in their very clean pool.

I liked best Everglades and Biscayne National Parks that are close to Florida City. Coral Castle was also very interesting. The outlet mall had some good deals and numerous restaurants are in close proximity. Both O'Deeny's and Yardie Spice restaurants make excellent and unique meals.

I'm a Miami resident and had family who lived here in the past so am well familiar with Florida City. Great waypoint for Robert is Here, the Everglades, the big mall, the upper Keys. Pretty long drive from Miami but easy to find everything in this gateway town.

We picked this location because of traveling to Key West the next day and we were able to visit Miami Beach and Bayside Marketplace in Miami and we took went on Thriller Miami Speedboat Adventures there. We didn't really do anything in Florida City or Homestead.

Was informed that city was an unsafe area and full of crime.
Was informed that city was an unsafe area and full of crime. But that didn’t seem to be the case.
Besides the idiot drivers bearing Florida license plates, driving in Florida City with the layout was good. Be prepared to be cut off repeatedly. But this epidemic was everywhere in Florida.
Florida City was centrally located to our sightseeing areas and much more affordable than others.
Lots of great eateries.
Take an airboat tour. (Groupon)
Take your kids to “Robert is Here”
Just don’t shop at the Wal-Mart thinking it’ll be like your own local Wal-Mart. It’s the worst.
The hotel is conveniently located. There are other restaurants nearby if the free breakfast offered by the hotel is not to your liking. The Outlets are nearby, only a short drive up the road. The Biscayne National Park is a short drive away with fantastic coastal trail. A longer trip out to Key Largo is feasible
The room served its purpose - somewhere clean to sleep comfortably and shower. The pool was clean to swim in or or simply relax in the shade.
There is ample parking for cars.
I think breakfast is good enough for the value that we paid for the hotel. The location is good for both driving to Key West and Everglades tour. I slept well. Surprising not noisy even the room was behind the street. The location aslo boast with fastfood chain so nothing to worry on food even on the middle of the night.
Free parking is a miracle in Miami and surrounds, this Best Western had it. Breakfast was plenty, coffee, tea, chocolate was available all day long. Easy to reach the Everglades main entrance, and Highway 1 is the road to the Keys. All in all it was a very good choice.
Look.....its a low budget hotel, but ITS QUIET! Your less than 2 miles from the bridge to the keys. If yourelike me and just going g fishing and not hanging out at the hotel this is the PERFECT spot for you!! I've stayed there twice now. Both times its fit my needs!
I loved pretty much everything, the best of all is the location - it is next to a main crossroad, so regardless you go to the Everglades, or to Biscayane NP, or to Florida Keys, everything is in a reasonable distance from there. The swimming pool is also great.
The lady at the front desk is very nice, calling you in the room after you checked in to make sure everything is fine. It’s one of the cheapest place in the area, perfect location to get to the Everglades or the Keys. Perfect stop for 1 night
They upkeep the exterior of the hotel pretty nice. The breakfast was cool too. The room was ok as far as amenities and the way its decorated. The parking was nice. The way the room are positioned was kinda cool too.
Is the only hotel I’ll stay when I’m in Florida City or if I’m just sitting the keys I have stayed there four times and it all been great. The room is clean breakfast is great and the staff is super friendly.
Good cheaper alternative to the Keys to bring your boat to explore the Tropical reefs from key Biscayne to Key Largo..
Very laid back clean hotel with a very good daily breakfast to fuel our Activities!
Hotel is dog friendly. More affordable than other major hotel chains in the area.
Comfortable beds, microwave, fridge, TV all work well, good water pressure.
Room was clean when we arrived.
Location was the main reason for choosing this hotel. We were traveling between the Keys and Ft Lauderdale each day, so it was somewhat centrally located.
