Hurley was a pretty cool little town once you look past all...

Hurley was a pretty cool little town once you look past all the strip clubs and closed down businesses in the old downtown. All of the people we encounter from the gas station to the grocery store to the front desk staff at the hotel, were all super friendly and nice to talk to. Even if the room at our hotel in the Econo Lodge was less than great, it was as expected for the price and ok for us since it was just adults. Would recommend looking into paying a bit more for a nicer room in a hotel with a pool if you bring the kids. Central to a lot of different outdoor activities near Ironwood and Bessemer too. Close to skiing, snowmobiling trails, waterfall hiking, snowshoeing, ect. The restaurant we went to in the little downtown called the Iron Nugget was spectacular all around, would go back just to hang out there again. Great service, amazing food with HUGE portions at a reasonable price. A decent craft beer selection and what looked like a little start up brewery operation in their main space.

    Absolutely beautiful.

Absolutely beautiful. The water falls and rocks are gorgeous. The lakes are clean and clear. People are friendly. Little girls point was definitely the most beautiful, not too crowded spot. A little off the beaten trail but there was camping available, a play ground, pavillions, a beach that seemed never ending, and the clearest water ever.
