Apartment was great. Clean. Communication was ok. Self check-in was ok and fast. I recommend it.
Located just a short drive from Wilmington, Delaware town centre, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Wilmington offers contemporary rooms and facilities with easy access to I-95.
The accommodation were near perfect. The beds are comfortable and the room is spacious. Large closet, nice desk and comfortable chair with an ottoman. The refrigerator was larger than the cube most places provide, the room had a microwave and pod coffee maker.
The bathroom was spacious and well equipped. The shower water pressure was great. Hot water available almost immediately. The only thing missing from a safety standpoint was a bathmat to provide more secure footing in the shower.

Mendenhall inn is out dated and not everything functions.
Mendenhall inn is out dated and not everything functions. Tiny bathroom, running toilet, tv lost connection numerous times, bed is very soft, carpet is old and dirty as are the rest of the upholstered pieces and drapes, wood furniture is old and marred, refrigerator makes tinkling noise, etc etc etc….
The only positive is its location to Longwood Gardens.

location to Longwood Gardens was the reason we choose this motel and it didn't disappoint us.Easy drive especially after the late night Fountain show. Free breakfast included was a bonus for my husband.
We enjoyed a late lunh at the Victory Brewing company before venturing to the gardens.

Breakfast was good. Room was clean and comfortable. Was disappointed with restaurant on site. Called for room service at restaurant and was hung up on twice. Front desk was no help either. Decided to get take out from a local spot instead.

The breakfast is excellent and saved us from having to go out in the morning. The hotel is located on a very busy road so making left turns are very hard so I recommend you dine before returning to the hotel. Recommend checking in when the sun is up because it is very hard to locate at night or in the rain.
The Mendenhall Inn has a fine dining restaurant located on the property and it is excellent but rather pricey so it is not a place for daily meals. If the restaurant had a more affordable menu section we would have eaten there multiple times.

The location is great for a getaway to the local sigh-seeing options and restaurants. Parking was free and check-in staff very pleasant. Our room was exceptionally clean and as pictured on the website. We overlooked a very attractive fire pit area. Wifi worked fine which we took advantage of because that section geographic area had poor cell reception.
We needed to leave the hotel at 6:30 aM, there was not a grab and go and the restaurant was not open. When we arrived we were told there was a problem with our rooms and after a wait were told there was no air conditioning in the building where our rooms were, unacceptable for a summer night. We were finally given rooms in the air conditioned building.the front desk person could have been more helpful finding us a motel to move to and been more honest about why we were not getting room upon arrival
Set in a pretty, quiet area with green space, outdoor patio with fire pit, it was a nice break from city hotels. The included breakfast was plentiful, tasty and had a large selection of offerings. The restaurant on the grounds is lovely and the food was delicious. Parking is free and front desk staff was friendly and helpful. It was a great value for the money.
Loved the restaurant on the property. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room nicely furnished. We all enjoyed the staff. Had a fantastic bartender who was knowledgeable and friendly. Our waitress was excellent, friendly and also kind and knowledgeable. Check in was easy.
Great location and quality dining. Enjoyed the sports bar - food and drink were great. The Inn at Mendenhall is a local institution. It didn't disappoint. Rooms were attractive, comfortable and well-maintained. Plan to return.
The room was spotless
It didn’t smell from excessive cleaning products
The soaps and shampoos were attractively displayed
The breakfast was equal to any 4star hotel
The front desk staff was very pleasant
the variety of the breakfast was incredible. As a waffle lover, the waffle maker made the hotel one of my favorite. Since I am annual pilgrim of Longwood garden, this will be my "camp" for sure.
My wife and I liked the fact that the hotel had a restaurant on site, and served a complimentary breakfast in the morning.
It was an enjoyable stay and very convenient to Longwood Gardens.
