Loved the size of the room and the parking below the hotel. The parking was tight but very nice not having to park on the road.

Breakfast was varied, especially appreciated the spinach quiche rounds. Dining area itself is spacious, relaxing, and open to multiple uses.
Place is ok, staff is terrible.
We just called to check on them why they took my deposit and never released it back to my account, but guess what ? They said we SMOKED in the room, and they also said they gave pictures of it but when I asked the front desk guy (which was rude as hell) he said he wouldn’t send it to me, so how can you accuse me of something but can’t prove it !!? This is the worst experience I could have so far. I came from Florida all the way up to Colorado, I stayed in a few hotels and never had a single problem with this “smoking” thing. I NEVER smoke in the rooms, I hate the smell of any kind of smoke. I’m totally unsatisfied.

Great location to downtown or Overland Park.
Great location to downtown or Overland Park.
We ate at the plaza. Had to make a day trip to Fort Zleavenworth, which was convienent. My only complaint is that I wish I had stayed here previously. Next visit to KC this is where in staying.

They kept my deposit for no reason.
They kept my deposit for no reason. They claimed we smoked in the room but we had 4 children 5 and under. I also don’t smoke in my house or vehicle so I definitely wasn’t smoking in my room. The back door wasn’t locked and people were running in and out all night. The hallway to my room smelled strong of marijuana. I did like the setup of the room and the price.

Did not receive the value for the money.
Did not receive the value for the money. Location is just off 75 which was good. Staff was friendly, though we only saw one. Hotel needs some serious repairs, ie. wallpaper falling off the hallway walls, floor trim falling off, support under the bed not attached. Wires are sticking out of the way near the heat/ac.

Just needed a room for one night so the suite aspect was not really necessary but it was nice having the extra room. The TV setup was a little odd. Had the TV mounted in the corner of the room beside the beds. There was only one chair to sit in and you couldn’t lay in bed to watch the TV.
I really appreciate a mini fridge and microwave in the rooms and this place had both. The location was rather meh but the bathroom did have a serious upgrade that was nice but the water pressure was terrible. Bottom line is that you always get what you pay for. We never spend much time in our hotels when we travel unless of course we are staying for several days! This was just an overnight stay and it was pleasant. Not super, but pleasant.
Our family fell in love with the hotel from the moment we stepped through the doors. We immediately noticed the pleasant and clean smell. We were then greeted by the front desk personnel who asked our preference on which floor we'd like to stay on!
Nothing.I arrived with two kids at night, and they simply answered me - we have no electricity, we cannot accommodate you and left me to spend the night on the street, because all the hotels were sold out. no one even warned about this situation.
This was the cleanest, nicest room we have stayed in over the past several years. The staff were very friendly and the amenities were great. We were very pleased and will be staying with Hampton Inns again!
The room was pretty, clean, quite and very comfortable. The hotel breakfast had several choices and the indoor pool and hot tub was a nice well maintained area. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location felt safe, peaceful, and was an easy travel from the Plaza area of Kansas City. Also it is very very close to IKEA.
