I live close to New orleans so the Riverwalk was a river park with a boat. Very disappointed in what was advertised. Hardly any entertainment. It does have plenty eateries. Not a lot to do in the downtown area. When I spoke to people as we walked the area. They seem like they were in shock to have someone speaking to them as we passed each other. They had no souvenir shops that had Montgomery on it. Mostly Alabama. It's a nice area, just nothing to do besides history tours. We ate at "The house". I had the chicken (tasteless). My husband had the steak, loaded potatoes with asparagus. He loved it.

Montgomery is a nice medium size town.
Montgomery is a nice medium size town. It has a lot of historic sights, a gambling casino with two restaurants and a hotel inside. There are many parks and Montgomery has a zoo. Eastchase mall is nice as it has some of the major shopping stores and there are plenty of restaurants in East have area. They have Bone Fish grill, Firebirds, Moes Southwest grill to name a few restaurants. Montgomery is the capital of Alabama therefore there are a lot of historical sights. Montgomery also has a zoo. It is a nice place to visit. My favorite area is Eastchase and the shopping mall and restaurants. I liked Firebird’s restaurant and Smoothie King. Driving around Montgomery is easy.

We saw the Legacy Museum.
We saw the Legacy Museum. It was a once in a lifetime experience. We got to meet Bryan Stevenson--The visionary behind the museum and the figure the movie "Just Mercy" chronicled. He was personable and made himself available for a one-hour Q & A session. His work is phenomenal and a must-experience for all those interested in tracing the roots of slavery as well as the experiences of the disenfranchised in the criminal justice system!!! We were not able to visit the Rosa Parks museum and the other sites. We will return in September to see the rest of Alabama!!!

Montgomery Alabama Is a Beautiful place but I would never recommend the Sunrise Extended Stay The location was great but the room they reserved was ridiculous just wasn't suitable at all just look like a place for prostitution, the person didn't show customer service at all didn't try to fix the situation, the place needs to be completely renovated it was like they just took my money and that was it, they had the lobby all locked up you couldn't enter the lobby area to see the facility it really made me feel like every time i reserve a room, I need to see the room first before I pay.

The Legacy Museum of the Equal Justice Initiative was a powerful experience. Montgomery was an easy city to drive in. Friendly residents made it easy to walk to the Wintzell's Oyster House for a delicious meal.
The location was easy to get to and convenient for our business in Montgomery. The staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed overnight on a Sunday to make our Monday morning appointment and the hotel was quiet, the room and hotel appeared clean. The breakfast selection in the morning was good. I also liked that there was a Waffle House nearby. We arrived a little late to get dinner somewhere but were able to get a to go order from the WH prior to checking which was convenient.
The room was very clean. We had a suite and it was large and very comfortable. I’m not a fan of outdated hotel rooms and everything in our suite looked new and upgraded. Me and my 3 girls were there for a volleyball tournament and we did not want to leave. My favorite thing was the staff! On top of the great amenities, the staff was amazing! Amber, the manager, was super considerate after we had some unexpected changes in travel and the night manager was also amazing!
The hotel, staff, and management are top notch. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. This is the first hotel in many years that I was able to get good sleep. I had forgotten my shirts hanging in the closet, and the GM called me and went out of his way to ensure that I got them. I will definitely be staying here in the future. Well done Microtel Montgomery. Thank you.
Good hotel in a great location for visiting Montgomery. Room spacious ( 2 bedrooms) with a good kitchen. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was poor but this maybe due the the fact we went down at the linear closing time and the food was already been taken away. The front desk staff were friendly and allowed use of their car park on the last day so we could visit local attractions.
The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly, especially the front desk. Our beds were pretty comfy and I really like that you don't hear noises from other guest while in your room. Also you can't beat their breakfast and afternoon kickback. We ate supper there both nights we stayed. They offer a good variety so there was something for everyone.
Comfortable Bed.
Spacious Room.
Cleanliness of the whole facility.
The facility being the former Alabama Hotel, Baymont was able to renovate without removing the old school charm. For the value of the rooms, this is well worth it.
The breakfast was good.It even offered Conecuh Sausage which is made in my hometown of Evergreen, Alabama. But I would like to make a suggestion that the hotel offer turkey or beef sausage for those of us that don't eat pork.
Nice newish hotel with spacious and comfortable rooms. On the outskirts of the city but excellent location for the through traveller. Breakfast was ok. The service was good. Would recommend as good value.
Gorgeous place. Beautiful setting and an easy walk into Montgomery centre, which is beautiful, historic and super chilled. Highly recommend a visit, and if you do, Dreamland BBQ was delicious.
I’m from Montgomery, so I was familiar with the area. In walking distance to certain foods, and 2-5 minute drive from other eateries and shops.. staff was nice and hotel was nice and quiet.
The location was perfect, not to far out the way from downtown. Of course the rain held us back from exploring as much but overall it was relaxing just at the hotel. No regrets! 😉
The room was clean and well furnished. Beds exceptionally comfortable. Staff that checked me in was polite and helpful. Hotel was very clean and well maintained.
