Picked for the location, wanted to be near Rockland for an event. Room and bathroom seemed recently painted/updated. We had the essentials. $97 a night.
A lovely town with very friendly people.
Most things are within easy walking distance - eateries, galleries, museums, and shopping are on the block near the waterfront. It's a short drive to the lighthouses.
Due to delays in my flights, I really only was able to eat and shop one full day in the area. I enjoyed Ruckus Donuts and coffee and went to Rustica for dinner.
The Dowling Walsh Gallery is a lovely visit.
A visit to the Owl Head and Breakwater Lighthouses are musts!
I drove to Camden as well and enjoyed a few hours on the Schooner Appledore.

Rockland has good restaurants and very good art galleries.
Rockland has good restaurants and very good art galleries. They also have the Farnsworth Art Museum, which was very nice. The Breakwater Light House is a great walk, on a very long breakwater. It's also close to other destinations, such as Camden and Boothbay Harbor.

We were there in late May.
We were there in late May. The weather is still unpredictable at that time of year. Many stores were not going to open until June 1st. This made it hard to find a restaurant that was open. There were only a few. You had to drive a long way to visit sites of interest. Again, many in Rockland were closed.

Even in the middle of the winter our weekend getaway was restful, fun and beautiful. Our hotel overlooked the harbor...beautiful sunrise:). We went for a walk through the coastal town, visited several shops, ate at local places along the way( lots to chose from) and went to the art museum. Great place to visit summer or winter!

wE WENT IN OCT.
wE WENT IN OCT. AND BOOKED WITH I BELIEVE BOOKING.COM FOR 3 DAYS AND GOT INCREDIBLE RATE PER NIGHT. tHEY ALSO MOVED US TO THE 4TH FLOOR WHICH WAS GREAT. fERRY TO VINALHAVEN RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET. IF YOU GO TO VINALHAVEN TAKE EARLY FERRY- YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN THE WHOLE ISLAND BY CAR IN LESS THAN TWO HOURS DONT WAIT THE WHOLE DAY TO GO BACK. TRUTHFULLY NOT MUCH TO SEE. OTHER THAN THAT I DO BELIEVE THE NORMAL RATES ARE HIGH. tHEY DID A FANTASTIC job renovating the hotel. We
wILL SEEK OUT THE 3 DAY BARGAIN AGAIN NEXT YEAR.
The staff that was there was super helpful. We got fresh towels when we asked. The bed is on the slightly softer side which is nice and the pillows are good. Super clean for only having 3 house keepers for 99 rooms! No problems. The sun room was great over looking the bay. It was nice to sit out there and work. Walking distance to great restaurants and bars. I would stay here again. The downtown area is super cute. Felt very safe being right next to the police station
This is a wonderful hotel! It was immaculately clean, and our room was spacious, well appointed and comfortable. The staff were lovely. And the continental breakfast (croissants, blueberries, Greek yoghurt, granola, peaches) was delicious.
Location is also great - very convenient to Rockland restaurants and stores.
Beautiful ocean view from the roof terrace.
High end amenities.
We would absolutely stay here again!
Great location across from Rockport Harbor. The hotel itself is clean and kept in good condition. From my many experiences among hotels along Maine coast, there is no musty nor mildewy smell at this hotel. Everything in this hotel is kept clean and fresh. The room size is huge and extremely comfortable. My highest commendation for keeping the place chic and Modern, and maintaining it that way.
Hotel structure is clearly a 1970's "motel style" development, but has been nicely refurbished with new carpets & beds. Remodelled bathroom. Internet connection excellent. Plant tubs & entrance area furnishings make it feel more upmarket. The best breakfast choice we have experienced in motels along the coast from Oguncuit - but could do with some raisin bran adding to the cereal choices.
The people that work there are the ultimate employees... Like second to none. The heat didn't work and the guy came up stairs and moved me to another room. Checked the other room to see if the heat was working before leaving. Like who does this these days? Kudos to this hotel for getting it.
Great location and easy to park right outside the hotel or down on the lot below. The room was clean, light and spacious; the bed was very comfortable. I loved the artwork on all the floors, in the stairs, and the lobby. Just wish we had taken the time to enjoy the roof terrace.
The staff. Each and every one. Rachel is the only one whose name I finally asked—she was always so nice and super helpful. Everyone else was, too. We weren’t in Rockland for a happy reason so it was really, really nice to feel taken care of when we came back to hotel.
Attended the Lobster Festival in Rockland and this hotel location couldn't have been better! Just walk across the parking lot and you're on the festival grounds. Also very close to main street/downtown area. Free parking was an added perk.
Couldn't say anything positive. They sent online check in info which was incomplete. There were SEVEN people checked in on line in the lobby at 1145 pm, paid for rooms and couldn't get in. Had to go to other area hotel and pay again.
The location of the hotel was perfect--easy to walk to restaurants and attractions.
Our room had a lovely balcony with views of the ocean.
The rooftop balcony also provided wonderful views.
Very friendly staff!
The rooms were nice & clean, comfortable, met our needs. Staff was kind. Breakfast basic continental. Sitting area out front with fire pit. Nice view of harbor. Good location.
