We were in Hood River as a base for spring wildflower hikes. The location was great: close to good places to eat, easy freeway access.
This historic hotel is nicely decorated with some fun touches, like little nooks in the hallways with art supplies.
Room was comfortable. They warn about noise and provide earplugs, but even though noise sometimes bothers me, it wasn't a problem here (didn't need the earplugs).
Staff were friendly.
My husband enjoyed the live music Saturday night.

My room had a direct River view! (some have views mainly from nearby balconies, lawns or decks. Reasonable prices for Hood River in most seasons, even at short notice. Clean, quiet.

The Ruby June Inn is tucked away in the most amazing spot! Chris and Gretchen have found a piece of paradise and they are willing to share it with you. They make you feel right at home and willing share their knowledge of the surrounding area. Right off the White Salmon river a few miles from town and the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. Definitely a no frills motel, but it was close to everything, safe, and had well kept grounds. Gentleman at the front desk was quick and efficient. Everything you’d expect from a simple motel. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Definitely can see signs of aging, but it’s apparent they have tried to keep it updated and modern.
