We were visiting Davis so I stayed in west sac but really I think it would have been better to just stay in downtown Sac or near Old Sac. Nothing notable in West Sac and walking around our hotel had nothing interesting. Our hotel was in an industrial area. 10 minute drive to downtown Sacramento and 10 minute drive to Davis.

The area has a lower-middle class, sparse, rural feel. Lots of inexpensive motels, fast-food eateries and strip-mall stores intermixed with--NOTHING. There is a great deal of homelessness. I bought food and necessities from a convenient supermarket across the street and discovered how the local transit bus system worked. Downtown Sacramento is just 2 miles to the east and is walkable.

Away from the weird stuff happening in the back (cops where there in the morning, don’t know what they where doing and didn’t care). Other then that. Nothing. They where the only ones I could book and somewhat cheap (compared to everyone else) but I wish I would have payed the $20 extra to stay somewhere else
