The Grand Canyon Train was a great excursion and would recommend it to anyone interested in visiting the Grand Canyon area from the south rim, but I would DEFINITELY DISUADE everyone from lodging at that property. I personally would NEVER, EVER stay at that hotel again so long as I am breathing. This quiet and quirky town is loacted an hour from the South Rim Trail of the Grand Canyon. We stayed at the Highlander Motel which is only a short distance walk to some great local resturants and bars, gas stations and grocery stores. We ate at the Cruiser's Route 66 Cafe, I highly rate the Santa Fe Chicken Sandwhich and the atomosphere was that of a true diner. The locals are great and I hope any one who vists, enjoys Williams as much as I did!

Friendly staff and cute property with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Super accommodating and easy to find with attractions and places to eat within a 3 to 15 minutes drive depending on which business you chose to visit. Williams is a great little historic town A lot of great eating options and the gateway to the Grand Canyon. The pizza place/brewery is great and the Pine Breakfast Restaurant is amazing. Williams is a quaint little town but still has plenty to do and great food! Bearizona is always a must and right up the street, and there’s also the coaster and shooting range for fun entertainment. It’s also a great location for many beautiful Poot ions within driving range from the Grand Canyon to Sedona, Jerome, and Flagstaff.

No, but it cost nowhere as much as a Marriott, but it was very comfortable for a budget motel. Note that I consider it very clean & the staff very friendly & helpful no matter what category of motel/hotel. If I return to Williams, I would stay here again.

The 2 Queen room was spacious and the bathroom was clean. Although we did not eat at the hotel restaurant, the menu looked nice and the people working were friendly so I would think it would be a nice place to get dinner if you aren’t walking to a restaurant in Williams.

Even though is about 1 hour from the South Rim Entrance, you won't find the cheapest place closer to the park. It is a nice and quiet place, great if you want just a place to sleep, and recover your energy after a long day hiking in the park.
