“This homestay was absolutely fantastic. Our house mother was really cute and adorable, she baked kind of pancakes for breakfast, got selfmade jam and so on. “This was the perfect place to stay. The location is very close to the center of the old town, but still very quiet and non-touristy. The hosts, Melo and his parents, are very friendly and helpful. Melo’s mother served a lovely traditional breakfast every morning, served on the balcony with the an amazing view over the castle and the old town. The room I was in is very spacious and clean, with thick stone walls so it’s cool in there even though it’s very hot outside. The bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is clean and the shower is nice and hot. There is a good internet connection. The price was incredibly reasonable - very good value for money.”

“The accommodations at the Hotel Musee far exceeded our expectations and made for an amazing experience in Gjirokaster. The hotel is conceived with old Gjirokastra oriental tradition in mind. We were quite impressed by the meticulous attention to every little detail, from the white lace curtains to doorknobs, a traveler can find herself living a lavish old-world luxury, pampered by the hosts (a family that takes tremendous pride in their property). You can feel the hospitality from the way they receive you at arrival, to the attention they pay to a guest's needs. They serve a delicious and plentiful homemade breakfast (they make sure to use local organic products of the highest quality), up to the point of sending you off with a warm farewell (in our case, the host dropped everything and even drove us all the way to city's bus station). The stay was brief but it will definitely be unforgettable. We couldn't have hoped for a better experience at a great money value. For that we are very grateful and hope to go back soon!”
