This apartment practically right outside Brussels Noordstation is great for visiting Brussels as well as using for a base to visit neighbouring towns. Both the train and Flix bus station were only steps away. We didn't try the buses but found it easy to take the train for day trips to Leuven and Ghent, and then onwards to Brugge (Bruges). The apartment itself is clean and has all the amenities for your stay, but the biggest asset is the accommodating and caring host. The kitchen is small but has a couple of burners and a good sized microwave. To illustrate Karim's hospitality, he not only forewarned us of an impending strike that could affect public transport, but also took the time to check out and inform us of our options. This is despite the fact that we would have been out of his apartment already. Navigating a foreign country is not always easy, especially when things are going awry. Getting help under such circumstances is amazing. We wholeheartedly agree with the accolades that were in previous reviews.

There's a supermarket nearby and bus stop is 5min.walk.Not far from the city center.

The elegantly designed Avenue Deschanel B&B is located 1800 metres from Brussels-North Train Station and features high-tech in-room facilities including a home automation system. You get twice the space you get in a hotel room. Manhattan room overlooks a beautiful park. Bus 66 takes you downtown in 15-20 minutes. We met Florence (the owner) and she is a very nice lady. So is Lucia (who works for her). Breakfast is good and very affordable. WiFi speed was very good. Appreciated the free chocolates and drinks.
