Set in Neuberg an der Mürz, within 18 km of Rax and 44 km of Hochschwab, Hotel im Stift Neuberg offers accommodation with a garden and free WiFi as well as free private parking for guests who drive. The accomodation was perfect. Clean and spacious rooms, well equipped. Lovely atmosphere of historic monastery. Very friendly and welcoming host. Breakfast was tasty with variety of food. I would definetly stay here again.

The rooms are very nicely prepared - we had a two-story room with a spacious bathroom incl whirlpool. Eating at the Roanwirt is also really nice (typical Austrian cuisine). The sauna area is not the biggest, but it was never crowded. The staff are tremendously forthcoming and friendly. In the area, you can hike up to Pogusch and have amazing views of the mountains.

The people there were all very friendly. We got lucky and stumbled upon a Maypole celebration that was incredible to watch. The meals in the restaurant were spectacular (e.g. wild garlic ravioli with morel mushrooms in a cream sauce or the lake trout on a bed of stinging nettle risotto). We ate there twice in two days. And one of the owners made a point of coming over to us during the Maypole celebration to explain what the tradition was all about for them.

We had a really calm night here. We could eat a delicious dinner /lot of different tasty foods are available/. Breakfast was perfect too, with freshly made scrambled or boiled eggs. And we could eat already before 7 o'clock. Everyone was really nice and helpful. Room was enough big, clean and comfortable, silent. We enjoyed our stay here, only 20 min from Stuhleck skiarea.
