A családi tulajdonban lévő, 5 csillagos Hotel Schweizerhof Luzern a tó mellett az óvárosban helyezkedik el. We loved everything. The location was excellent. The hotel is close to everything. Although it is on the other side of the train station and pier, it’s actually just a 5 to 10-minute walk. The chapel bridge is between the wall from the station and hotel. Behind the hotel, about 10 to 15 minutes of walking, are the Lion Monument and the Glacier Garden. At check in, we knew it was going to be an excellent stay. The concierge, Noah (I hope I spelled his name right), immediately made us feel welcome. He gave us information, tips and suggestions that made life easier for us. The lady who delivered our room service was so very wonderful as well. The customer service is just top notch: professional and yet warm. Everything about our room was just wonderful. It was huge, the bed was so comfortable, the bathroom was clean and huge, and the view was just to die for. Check out was painless and quick, with the same efficient and yet warm customer service. I can’t say enough good things. If we have the chance, we would love to visit Luzern so we could stay in Hotel Schweizerhof again.

The rooms where super comfortable and the atmosphere at the hotel was very welcoming. The view was spectacular and the staff was helpful and friendly. We would love to come again for a longer stay and play some golf.

The surprise call when we were boarding the ferry to inform of the complimentary pick up was wonderful, (I'd somehow missed this option). The walk up through the forest behind the hotel was lovely. Located in the centre of Adligenswil, Hotel Rössli is just 5 km from Lucerne. It offers a traditional Swiss restaurant and individually designed rooms with free Wi-Fi and wired internet access. This place was exceptional for me. Very warm hospitality. I enjoyed the seasonally of dishes offered at the restaurant. Breakfast was also nice and comfort. I should visit place earlier.

The family-run Seehotel Gotthard in Weggis on the shore of Lake Lucerne, 25 km from Lucerne, offers 2 restaurants, a pizzeria, a bistro and rooms with scenic views and free WiFi. Fantastic hotel in a magical setting. Staff was outstanding. Room was large, clean, quiet and had magnificent views. We had dinner at their restaurant each night of our stay. The food and service was exceptional. Day 1 - Took a lovely 40 min ride on the water taxi to Lucerne for a day trip in the city. Day 2 - Took a short drive to the base of Mt. Pilatus for a trip up in the cable cars. Would love to stay here again!
