Hosted with a truly personal touch by a friendly, hospitable family. In the morning a delicious breakfast is served in the room. The church bells, although somewhat loud during the day, but silent from 22:00 to 07:00, add to the charm and authentic character of the place. In very close proximity to Mendrisio and the Accademia di Architettura. Highly recommended!

This lovely hotel is really a place to return to. It has very friendly hosts and the room is super clean. There is a minibar in the room, the beds are comfortable and the breakfast is very extensive. We stayed four nights at the hotel. We brought our own car, but the train station is very close. We were absolutely pleased with our stay. Balerna is not far from Mendrisio, Lugano and the Italian border near Como.

Beautiful top-floor apartment with exposed wooden beams, very comfortable beds, large dining room/living room, and large kitchen with basic appliances. The location atop Mendrisio is nice, since you have direct access to various trails, like for Monte San Generoso, and you can walk into the old town of Mendrisio in about 12mins, going downhill - going back is all uphill and may take 15 to 20mins.

Modern, clean, large rooms, great location for the purpose (business trip in Mendrisio region). Got delayed and arrived around midnight when reception was closed. The hotel contacted me pro-actively via WhatsApp message, asked about arrival time, and arranged for the key card to be deposited in a safe box with clear instructions how to access the box, the garage, and the room. Perfect.

The staff is amazing, and it is located next to Foxtown outlet (3 mins walking) , and 15-20 mins car trip to get to Lugano and como by car

Good location near railway station

Wolfgang and Erika are fabulous hosts, and this is a beautiful location. It's our second trip, this time bringing friends. Great food (optional), and a picturesque location with lots of local hikes.

Location- few minutes walking distance from Chiasso. Very easy to find Reception- very friendly, polite, responsive and helpful. They gave me European plug when requested and answered questions promptly Room- very clean and tidy. Had everything needes. Check-in/check-out- very eady

The view was amazing except mother nature didn't cooperate. Cloudy most of the time. Very relaxing. Despite the language barrier the host was great.

Sweet welcome generous,charming, kind

A room in a very lovely house. Right next to mountain and facing to the lake. You can enjoy both lake and mountain views from your balcony. Has a parking lot in front of the house. Tenant was very friendly. Breakfast was great. She asked us what we prefer for breakfast and that was very nice of her. It is a very quite place so you get a good sleep.

We were visiting our daughter at the Virginia Tech Riva campus and this property was a great location for our purpose. The B&B was clean, modern and the staff were incredibly nice.
