What a perfect location when arriving by car (could be a bit of a walk from the train station with luggage) Great walking access to the town, the river and the Munot. Centrally located in Stein am Rhein, Hotel Rheinfels is housed in a historic building from the 14th century and features a restaurant with a large terrace facing the river. We spent a nice stay in the hotel as we expected. The hotel is traditionally old, charming and historical. The room is big and very clean. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant: the meals were good and the staffs were very friendly. We like this hotel and expecting to come back again.

Large, comfortable, clean room. Friendly staff, a good breakfast buffet with many homemade bread and jams, fresh eggs, good coffee. Good bicycle storage, excellent dedicated bike path between Stein am Rhein and Ramsen. Lovely, relaxing village.

Built in the 14th and 15th centuries, the prestigious Guildhall Rueden is a successful example of the architecture of this time. The refined façade allows you to forget the 21st century. I loved the building and the excellent central location, very beautiful. The room was also excellent, very clean and comfortable. I was also charmed by the friendly staff and great welcome and service. I would highly recommend Sorell Rüden for a wonderful stay in Schaffhausen!
