The family-owned 5-star Hotel Schweizerhof Luzern is located right in the Old Town of Lucerne, next to the lake. It offers a spa area and elegant rooms with modern furniture. Beautiful elegant hotel well situated. Grand old hotel with all modern conveniences. Beautiful lobby and service was great except problems with repeated demagnetized key cards. Modern and well appointed rooms with large bathroom with separate tub and shower. Bed was comfortable. Nice little touches with complementary nuts, muffin and chocolates. Breakfast was fantastic with everything available. Elegant bar and dining room for breakfast. Nice patio outside to overlook Lake Lucerne. Overall little to complain about and much to laud. A true 5 star hotel.

Breakfast was basic but plentiful: with breads, jams, cheese & eggs at your disposal. Room: Scandinavian chic comes to mind. Decor is simple but works well as the natural outdoor scenery shines bright.

In my opinion, Brunnen is the perfect place to experience Lake Lucerne - the mountains are magnificent on the north and east ends of the Lake. And the city of Lucerne is only 30 minutes away.

Very comfortable room with a really nice view of Lake Lucerne with mountains in the background. Mt. Rigi is just across the lake and there is an unobstructed view of the summit. I don't know the age of the hotel but has the appearance of being old, yet has modern facilities. Breakfast was nice and included hot items. There is a small well-stocked grocery within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. It was geared towards the residents but still had a nice selection of snacks and drinks.

Our room was very comfortable...well appointed, including complimentary drinks & chocolate in the bar fridge. Hotel was very close to Lake Lucerne. Staff was courteous & friendly and we had enjoyable conversations with several. Very walkable to local restaurants, town, ferry pier, etc. Really no complaints. Would definitely come back.

A very nice stay. We love this quiet little town on Lake Lucerne. It is truly a gem when visiting this area. The view of the lake is unbeatable from this hotel with very easy access to swimming in the lake. The hotel is very nice, very clean, excellent staff and wonderful food. Highly recommended if you want to visit Lucerne but don’t want tot stay in the busy city.

The hotel has an amazing location, right next to Lake Lucerne and 10 minute walk from Weggis ferry stop. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room with private bathroom were very clean. The view from the room and balcony was amazing. The swimming pools were great, especially the outdoor pool with the stunning view.

The hotel is some 150' altitude above the village. Unfortunately, no restaurant yet, but the breakfast was included and was excellent!

The quality of the room was excellent - with beautiful views over Lake Lucerne and the beginning of the Alps. Hotel dining is exceptional with 2 Michelin star restaurants.
