Finca Agroteguaria Queveri ligger 20 minuters bilresa från Orosí och omges av nationalparken Tapanti. Här erbjuds en utomhuspool, en trädgård och gratis WiFi i alla utrymmen. Before we arrived I wondered if the drive was really worth for just one night. As soon as we got there I was sure that it was. The owner made us feel very welcome, cooked for us one of the best dinners we had on our trip and gave us a lot of insights into life at the finca and in Costa Rica in general. The place itself is lovely, decorated with a lot of love for details. And the view from the living room as well as our room was just stunning. If our plans had allowed, we would have loved to stay another night! Two things to keep in mind: First, the last 4 km of the road are gravel. We managed it just fine with our non-4x4 Hyundai Grand i10. We were there during the dry season and have experience taking roads like that. If in doubt ask the owner beforehand what condition the road is in. Second, the finca is at an altitude of about 1500 m. It can get pretty cool in the evening, night and morning, so bring long trousers and a jacket.

David is a wonderful host and created a peaceful special place far away from busy life in Orosi. You are only driving some kilometres, but you will feel far away from everything. The hut is clean and super comfortable, there is everything you will need in the kitchen. Expect to sit on the terrace in the evening and enjoy the lovely sounds of the night. David helped me a lot with everything, he is living on the ground, he even took me up from Orosi as I had no car. I enjoyed my stay there a lot!

Casa Sofia, a Gem Close to Orosi Thermal Pools! har utsikt över bergen och erbjuder boende med en uteplats och kaffemaskin, 12 km från Ujarras Ruins. The property and house were fantastic. House was spacious, super clean and very, very comfortable. The view from the house was beautiful, rain or shine. The shower is incredible- like showering in the rainforest. Everything about the house was great! I highly, highly recommend. The hosts and staff are lovely people and very welcoming.
