Housed in a former convent, built in the 15th century, the Parador de Plasencia hotel has kept its stunning, original architecture, including spacious hallways, archways and courtyards. The Parador is exceptional !!! The bar in the bodega and the wellness center with sauna, jacuzzi was a great surprise. The staff at the reception were very kind.

Situated 39 km from Parque Natural de Monfragüe, POSADA EL ARRIERO offers 2-star accommodation in Torrejón el Rubio and has a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. Excellent traditional Posada. Family-run. Room was very clean and in spite of cold weather (December), the heater worked very well. Plenty of blankets, comfortable bed. Great shower. The traditional food was excellent, local and the portions were huge, including the breakfast. Friendly reception. Perfect location for visiting Monfragüe, and the village is interesting to wander through. Free parking next to the Posada.

Situated in Toril, 8.7 km from Parque Natural de Monfragüe, Hotel Rural Portilla de Monfragüe features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. We absolutely loved this hotel. So absolutely peaceful in the fresh air of open quiet countryside. You could hear only the sounds of the bees and the birds. It reminded me of the lodges I occasionally stayed in when I lived in East Africa many years ago,providing just what you need in a very simple and tranquil way. The host and his team were charming and helpful. Unfortunately the company supplying electricity was upgrading something in the supply and had planned a power cut for the morning we left. We were warned this was going to happen and that the hotel would be closing until power was returned. We would have loved to stay longer

You will be hard pressed to find a hotel of this standard for 1!(the price. The breakfast is also better than some establishments claiming to be 5 * . Alberto is a TRUE GENT The Bar Staff made our stay so enjoyable. would I recommend this place.........you bet I would!.
