The property is beautiful , clean , well located , the bed was so comfortable , they have hot shower and the view from the room is BREATHTAKING. The best view of my life ( and I’ve been to 57 countries so imagine ! ) Great value for your money … if it were anywhere else in the world that hotel could charge at least 10 times more ! All The staff were absolutely lovely and they all made my staying so much more easier and comfortable . I felt safe as a female solo traveler and would recommend big time !

The lodge itself is beautiful, and my room had lovely views towards the country side. It is located about 15 mins by foot from Lalibela's central area. The hotel arranged my transport from/to the airport, and my guide (Girma) met me there and was extremely helpful throughout my stay both with activities in Lalibela and a person problem I had. The owner, Abebe, also helped me with all the above and is extremely kind. Breakfast was at a nearby sister hotel, which also provided wifi as there are some problems with local connections. The staff at both hotels were incredibly kind and I would, and already have, recommended this to friends.

We are American expats that have lived in Ethiopia for three years now. We stayed at the Panorama in December 2019 and was floored by the view, the staff, and the incredible value for the price. I had family visiting here this Summer and I made it a point to return to Lalibela and the Panorama if it was at all possible post both Covid and the political situation. We knew going in that the entire city would not have power. We were only the second guests they have had since all that has happened, and they couldn't have been more accommodating for us. They do have their own generator and ran the power for about four hours a day for meals, hot showers, and to charge your electronic devices. The staff were very communicative on when those times would be so you could plan ahead accordingly. We went during the fasting season, and the meals were excellent. I would 10/10 recommend staying here to anyone that would ask me. They are doing the absolute best that is possible in a situation that at most could be described as trying for the people of that region. I hope to be able to go back again and sit on a saddle on the terrace overlooking the breathtaking view, and raise a bottle of St. George when times are better and the hotel is back up and running at full speed. Thank you for making our trip as comfortable as we could have hoped.

My room at the Alef Paradise hotel had a really beautiful view that I could enjoy from my own little patio. The staff were all very nice and helpful and even set me up with a local guide and transport before I arrived. The free breakfast was really delicious - especially the coffee! Overall, the Alef Paradise hotel is a great value for money and I would definitely recommend to future visitors! To note: the power is only on at certain times of day (evening and potentially a few hours in the morning) but that's more a function of power in the town and not due to Alef Paradise Hotel. Just plan to charge your things at night or have a power bank with you.
