It was our stay on the way to Ruka. Everything was perfect, room facilities, sauna and so on. Breakfast was also nice. Highly recommend :)

Facing the beachfront, Hotellilaiva Wuoksi offers 3-star accommodation in Kuopio and has a shared lounge and terrace. just absolute perfect blend of almost boutique level and super special on the one hand and back packer friendly on the other. great sense of being in such a special place (ice bound boat on a huge frozen lake) and just perfect welcoming friendly recption. would go there again in a heartbeat.

Located in the Finnish Lake District and 10 km from central Kuopio, Spa Hotel Kunnonpaikka offers free parking as well as free pool and gym access. Everything was wonderful. Delicious breakfast, clean room, excellent SPA. The weather was harsh, but the hotel was warm and cozy. I'll come again. Thanks

Located in the heart of Kuopio, this hotel offers rooms with luxury bedding and a flat-screen TV. The hotel also offers free sauna access and a gift shop focusing on souvenirs from Lapland. The location, 1 min walk from the Train station, 3 min walk to the new train/bus station. 10 min walk to the city center. It was the best hotel i stayed in Finland so far. Love the Artic Pine scented soap/shampoo.

We enjoyed the peaceful ambiance coupled with the Iisalmi Jazz Friday night event with world-class musicians, plus a ballroom Dance Saturday session during our stay. We appreciated the spacious twin room with super comfortable beds, fine dining with exquisite Nordic flavours (compliments to the chef), friendly restaurant staff, relaxation in the rarely found Finnish Smoke Sauna (marvellous experience) and spa. Here, the natural beauty of the river flowing by and the tall trees and forest around us were captured through the windows in every room. Superb.

Hotel Oscar is next to the Warkaus-Sali Concert Hall in Varkaus, 1 km from Varkaus Station. It offers free WiFi, private parking and free access to a gym and sauna. A slightly fancy city hotel (on the inside), maybe pushing to a higher standard - so everything was fine, slightly luxurious, well done, friendly, clean ... except that all told, in the end it has just the flair of what it is, a city hotel. But the location right in the center allows great walks along the impressive pulp factory (always worth seeing), along the lakeshores and down the streets. There is parking right across the street. The breakfast was good, the staff very friendly. My room was pretty large.

It offers free Wi-Fi, fine dining and free sauna access. staffs are all extremely nice and kind. location is superb! room has built-in sauna and drying box, excellent! breakfast is also awesome , especially with icecream option for kids right in the morning. 😊
