The place is neat, clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. We had everything we needed. The washers and tumble dryers at the guest laundry area is a plus. The apartment size is able to accommodate all four of us. The place is walking distance to the town center with many eateries and also a supermarket, Tesco. The apartment has two bathrooms and toilets which cuts down queuing time for our group. There are also a lot of car parking lots.

Dalrachney Lodge is a family-run country house hotel in Carrbridge, in the heart of the Scottish Highlands and is approached via a tree-lined riverside driveway. Everything! Used to be an old hunting lodge, and Steve and Tracy have transformed it into a fabulous Inn. Beautiful rooms, very clean, super comfortable-best “sleep” of our entire trip, great breakfast! They were professional, but also treated us like old friends while we hung out with them in their very own bar that one evening. Reminded us of what B and B’s USED to be like back in the day.

This is one of those grand old hotels with plaid carpeting, stag decor, and photos of birds. They bill themselves the wildlife hotel. They can recommend birding spots. We have used this hotel before, as it is a handy location for our planned walks in the Cairngorms. It has all the facilities we need and there is a handy bus service into town and the ski area. We like canoeing and there are several lochs nearby that we use on quiet days.
