Formerly called The Castle Arms, The newly refurbished Mey Hotel is a 19th-century coaching inn and Visit Scotland award winning hotel just 8 miles from John O'Groats, in the village of Mey. Located along the north coast, it’s a great spot for exploring. There’s a very personal touch with this hotel, and we were made to feel very welcome. The breakfast was cooked to perfection, as was the evening meal. We sat in the lounge in front of the fire in the afternoon and enjoyed the ambiance of a very tastefully decorated room. Thanks for such a lovely stay.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location right by the river. The staff were wonderful and the food fabulous. The breakfast was huge and delicious. If you want a place to stay away from the crowds on the NC500, I highly recommend staying at this hotel.
