Location was amazing. The decor of the lodge and the grounds were beautiful. Probably the best part of the hotel was the service from the staff. We felt right at home and really enjoyed our stay.

Located on the Black Isle in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, Newhall Mains is a collection of cottages, set within a courtyard building dating from 18th century. We were a family of 6 and I can't stress enough just how beautiful the whole estate is. The lodge we were in has been tastefully and carefully restored perfectly. Thee living room is built around a log burner that felt extra cosy in the cold winter night! The beds were comfortable, everything was spotlessly clean and the kitchen was very well stocked with utensils, glasses, pots etc. I'd certainly recommend New Hall Main to anybody looking for a slice of luxury, in a gorgeous part of the world.

Boasting a bar and dinner service on request, Garvault Highland House is set 10 miles from Kinbrace, in a remote area with an abundance of wildlife. Private parking is accessible at this property. Extremely friendly and attentive owners. Cozy room and lobby with stunning views. One of the best experience in my life. Next time I will stay at least 2 nights instead of just 1. Formerly called The Castle Arms, The newly refurbished Mey Hotel is a 19th-century coaching inn and Visit Scotland award winning hotel just 8 miles from John O'Groats, in the village of Mey. Located along the north coast, it’s a great spot for exploring. There’s a very personal touch with this hotel, and we were made to feel very welcome. The breakfast was cooked to perfection, as was the evening meal. We sat in the lounge in front of the fire in the afternoon and enjoyed the ambiance of a very tastefully decorated room. Thanks for such a lovely stay.
