Such a lovely place with kind, helpful staff and great food. Couldn't recommend it more and would stay again. It is ideally located to explore this corner of Worcestershire. The Malvern Hills are great to walk on and the views from the tops are stunning from the Welsh mountains in the West to the the flat plains of the Severn and Avon in the East. Great Malvern is a quiet and refined town with good local shops and good cafes as well as much beautiful architecture.
Lovely countryside. Needle Mill Museum nearby. Cadbury World not far away. Best is the Warwickshire and Worcestershire countryside, but not good for pollen allergies in springtime due to fruit tree blossom!
Kidderminster
A classic country house hotel, set in expansive grounds in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside. Beautifully restored, impressive but without being overly grand. Very comfortable, beautiful interiors and furnishings, well equipped rooms. The restaurant is superb. The service is impeccable, friendly but professional.
Broadwas
Room had a nice view of river. Food breakfast and evening meal was very good. Location was excellent for our purposes, lovely walks within easy reach of Worcestershire wildlife centres. Beer was very acceptable, being the local producer.
Older property tastefully modernised. Breakfast good. The hotel is staffed by nice people who seem pleased to have you there. Rural Worcestershire is very underrated in attractiveness and the M5 is nearby for convenience.
For the low cost of rooms this hotel was adequate. There is not really alot more that can be said, other than perhaps the location is convenient for South Birmingham and North Worcestershire.
Very clean room, staff extremely helpful and friendly. I have stayed a few times and it’s always my hotel of choice for Worcestershire.
The location was great, the staff fabulous and the breakfast excellent!
Excellent stay, staff were very attentive especially Sarah who looked after us in the pod. This was our sixth stay and I would say it was our best as all the staff were great
Smooth check-in. Quiet room at the back of the hotel this time, I have stayed in a room over the street before and that was very noisy. Room was clean, bathroom was well stocked. Only stayed a night, so perfect for our needs.
Small hotel but full of character.
That the property was as we remembered 50 years ago
Another superb stay at this wonderful and very special hotel.
Lovely experience. Staff was very helpful. Dinner and breakfast was delicious.
Excellent and cosy atmosphere, wonderful place, delicious breakfast
Very Spacious room and large comfortable bed. Room was clean. Breakfast, on the one day we had it, was very good. Plenty of parking space
Lovely location, ground floor room which was handy. Very welcoming & helpful reception staff , W red had a bit of a wait for our dinner, which wasn’t ideal as we were tired and wanted to get go bed, the young man behind the bar couldn’t apologise enough & offered us complimentary drinks after our meal, which was very much appreciated 👍🏻
The actual hotel is beautiful and very clean with friendly staff.
Lying in our bed in the room directly under the roof of this lovely old property, we enjoyed the black beams against the white background. The room can be reached through a maze of corridors with stairs. Fortunately, there is also a shortcut. You have to take quite a number of stairs if you have been given the room on the top floor. But the staff kindly offer to bring your luggage up for you. So it is not a problem after all. The inn has an extensive menu with something for everyone, including a vegetarian English breakfast.
Great town and great location great views
The location by the River Severn is fantastic, a couple of minutes walk to the town of Stourport. The hosts were very welcoming and informative. A great base for exploring this area . We visited Brockhampton Estate ( a gem ) Coughton Hall , Bewdley , Alcester and Worcester ( Three cheers for Miss Pearl and The Rough Diamonds )
