THey prepared some food for us for late arrival.

I loved everything—the place, the friendly stuff, the host, the nature. We came here after our friend recommended it to us, and we were not disappointed. The breakfasts were very nice, and the food in general was amazing. The Retreat is in a place that is 5 minutes walking distance from a BEAUTIFUL beach and a nice beach bar. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. Do not hesitate if you are looking for a genuine experience. It is so peaceful!

The kindness I experienced is something I’ll always remember. And if you are lucky, you’ll get to taste Oliver’s amazing pasta (please don’t pass up on the opportunity). The compound is one of the most places i’ve ever stayed. Just having breakfast while listening to the birds was the stuff of dreams. Okay stop reading and book this place right away.

Beautiful huts with cosy beds. A great place to relax and unwind and experience Gambia from a more local view.
